^ ^ haha yeah, but i couldn't turn down an e46..3-series has such a bigger aftermarket and having such a small choice of aftermarket products (especially for the QR) was really only gripe with the altima
nothing wrong with the QR, i just wanted something a lil bit more fun to drive!
Really whatever floats your boat, all I said was I think some of the equipment out here is overkill, and it does get pricey for the average joe. I do intend on selling my car after 5 years, that's been my history, I like variety and if the next car is a Nissan/Altima, fine but it could be something else. I'm getting to the point in my life where I want something that's going to last and be a great value, if I start adding all this expensive stuff then again I may as get as well get a classier car. Sure I would love to have a alot of this stuff, but at my age, it would be pretty ridiculous.

^ Sure thing! But just to let you know and I'm not saying that peoples opinions don't count...this was a thread designed to get the word out for those people who do wanna do something like this. It is really no different than spending over 1K for 20s or buying an AVIC D3, or whatever else. I'm just getting the feeling that you are here bashing my thread and I really don't appreciate it. Not everyone here is an Average Joe and we do stuff here because we like it. and that is what I'm saying.
you should have found someone with bags and gone on a ride with them ..
1. RIDING on bags is absolutely horrible
2. The stress the bags put on the strut mounts, will cause them to deform and break.
3. no such thing as "alignment"
4. your tires don't look like they clear the fenders, can't pancake it.
this is a friendly outlook ...
if you have another car you can drive daily , I say go ahead and do it.
A friend of mine has his Grand Prix on bags and it is a daily driver. Car Rides smoother than a lowered car on springs. What is nice about the set up is Bag stiffness is adjustable for comfort or stiff ride quality.
I would love to do this upgrade. The only thing I don't like about a bag setup is the noisy compressor system.

have you ridding on bags before??
If you do the set up right it will ride smoother then shit...
lowering you car anyway puts stress on the struts and mounts no matter what. Chargers and 300C also have the same type of suspension setup in the front and how many of those have we seen bagged.
I have actually been looking at this kit for awhile now. You can do it for a lot cheaper then 2300 though. Universal air is the best bags to buy for the struts and what not but shop around for the other stuff and you will easily find it cheaper. I am hoping to do this before the spring comes around.
I would like to see your install so make sure to take lots of pics
I've done a lot of research on this and the bags is really the way to go...any kind of lowering will put stress on the struts and put excessive wear on them and the ride on bags is actually really good or why would they put them standard on Porsche Cayennes. Its all based on how much air you actually leave in the bags when your driving. The car should pancake fine too since the rear wheels will camber in when the car is lowered onto them.
The price I paid for this kit also is very comparable to a good set of coilovers that noone has available yet for the Alty's so going that route also was not really an option and lowering springs just will not do what I need to do however they are much cheaper.
I got the kit today and started the install and I will try and get as many pics as I can when I'm doing it but I'm not doing a tutorial because I just don't have the time since I need to get it all done by Monday. After its all installed, I will make sure to include a good review even though Universal Air Suspension is prolly one of the best companies out there. All of the components are of extremely high quality and the install does look relatively easy with some help.
These are the heights and I assure you...they are only temporary until I can get back into Universal Air to make adjustments.
Its hard to see but there is 1.5" clearance here fully dropped (when complete...the wheel will be tucked and the fender will be .5" from the top edge of the rim)
Lowered height 5.75" front wheel (needs improvement)
Lowered height 6" rear wheel and tucked 1" from rim (fender was rolled and hardly any rub due to camber)
Raised height 9" front wheel (4 x 4 height )
Raised height 13" rear wheel (4 x 4 height )
I don't have any clearance issues going on anywhere and since there is a 5" clearance of the lowest part of the undercarriage (which is the exhaust pipe at the Y). I will be dropping this some more with adjustments from Universal Air. Hopefully the rear will drop all the way down to the rim and the front will be pretty close behind that. My goal is to be able to completely "slam" the car to the ground for added security and guess what theres an added benefit...I should never get towed lol. The control box can be locked with a key. Right now the front gap is still atrocious and it will get fixed prolly by next weekend and other than that the ride is perfect once I get it at the ideal height and it actually rides better than the stock springs with a much lower stance that feels better when traveling at high speeds. Enjoy the pics and I will go out tomorrow and take some really good pics of the entire car.
