the bouncy ride can be resolved by messing with the bags while u drive u have to find that "sweet"spot best chances is measure the stock height of another altima n adjust yours to that height..what kind of noises are the bags making??

I tried all levels, and its still a bit bouncy...only when its raised up all the way high is stiff (but rough).

The struts are making odd grinding noises when I turn and sometimes they make a loud "pop" sound.

Im thinking about just going with a rear setup lol

i think i have the same problem with the struts but i just thought it was the strut mount and am going to change it out and see if that solves the problem

Yeah its the way the front bags are mounted on the struts...theres no way to get rid of that with the stockies...as soon as aftermarket adjustable struts come out...just deal with it, its not going to be that bad with the noises. When I drive, a happy medium for me is to dump just a little bit in the back to drop it ever so slightly from stock and keep the front almost at stock height. Keep in mind if you drop it while driving...you need to adjust your camber or your gonna wear out your tires/shocks/struts prematurely so your best bet it to keep it all at stock height.

^ It shouldn't give you a bad ride whatsoever because mine when first installed actually improved the ride other than when I had it too high (topping out) or too low (bottoming out). My front struts also had to get reworked to drop the front all the way down to where the tires are tucking...if you keep the stock strut mounting plate, when you dump the bags, theres still a slight fender gap as you can see from my early pictures then I got a new plate made by Universal Air which lowered everything almost an inch up front.

The grinding could be one of four things:
1. The bag may be rubbing somewhere in the fender (if that is the case, get it fixed immediately or suffer a blown bag due to friction). Inspect the bag and look for any signs of rubbing.
2. Your leader hoses to the bag may be rubbing the inner fender well...same as above you need to fix that.
3. Make sure the bump stops in the shocks/struts are removed because they could be limiting the amount of travel which can affect your ride.
4. Also, the rear bag upper cup must be bolted into the upper spring cup or it will pop out and lead to the entire bag coming out...check the rear bags and make sure they are seated into both the upper and lower cups.

Hey -Altima- did you ever get your problem resolved and furthermore any pics...I would love to see it. Also just to let you know, Universal Air submitted the exact specifications for Koni to build custom struts and as soon as I get my hands on some cash they will be mine since my struts are starting to wear pretty quickly from driving lowered. Also I don't know if you know this but Firestone has an Unlimited Alignment thats under $200 which is a must for air suspensions and you can go as much as you like for free...I basically go in there for a new alignment after every oil change and get my tires rotated after every other alignment...the suspension can go out of alignment pretty easily and to be able to get them realigned will save you a lot of cash on tires...also the camber can be adjusted on our cars but not by much without a camber kit and thats front and back. Let me know.

And Ridin22s, didn't you do yours also...pics please

^ Well we can test that theory out...My airbags are actually going up for sale in a little bit because I'm converting over to Hydraulics with Accumulators since I can get a really good deal through the car club which also equals to my current airbag system going on sale for a good price. I will also give the front struts with them already mounted so you don't have to mess with your factory struts at all. Everything should hold up well in the snow I would hope but you may experience some pressure differences...I will ask Universal Air Suspension if they will work in the snow and get back with you.

I would actually be interested in your suspension. So what makes the new one you're getting better?

^ it rides better when your using accumulators (wiki it and see) and no need to replace shocks. Airbags can wear out shocks/struts prematurely and for the cost of coilovers, I can get Hydros for almost the same price so why not.

If you want my setup...I can give you a good price with install and if I talk to Zack...he will prolly guarantee the parts still.
