Sportlines are 211.00 plus shipping, and KYB does not produce a strut for this application.

Accept GR-2's are not designed to be used with a lowering kit. Use of GR-2's with Sportlines will void the entire manufacturer's warranty on the GR-2's.

The shock has to be sent in to KYB for a claim. When they cut it apart to see why it failed there are tell tail signs of lowering spring use/abuse. 9 times out of 10 the valving at the base of the strut shaft will be all beat in from repeated bottoming out. Also to claim a warranty you need to provide your original recipt. If you buy the springs and shocks at the same time, well, it does not take much to see the springs with the shocks.

Hey there, I just bought some KYB-GR2 front struts and rear shocks and am planning to install them with Tein H-Tech springs. Now my question is if this setup will bottom out or last just as long as having stock suspension without lowering springs.

Auto Parts Warehouse | NGK Spark Plugs | NGK Iridium IX Spark Plugs | DENSO Spark Plugs | DENSO Iridium Spark Plugs | KYB Gas Shocks | K&N Performance Filters is the cheapest place i have found GR2's

if you lower your car, you know the risk of blowing a strut/shock....

I was under the understanding that if you use the kybs, they are manufactured to use lowered springs, and as long as you dont slam the thing, it will be fine. It also depends on how the roads are around you. If they are really bad, i wouldnt even take the time to lower the car. You just have to remember, that when you lower the car, the probability of bottoming out is greater, so you have to drive more careful.

AJ USA has the set of GR2 shocks and struts for ~$166 with no Tax as long as you are not in CA and a flat $9.95 handling fee. I wouldn't order from AutoParts Warehouse, lots of bad reviews and incorrect part numbers.
