My tpms light has been on constantly for a while now. My tires are 32psi all the way around. When I first got the car after a few weeks I had a low tire, it went on, I put air in the tire, started driving, and it went away again. I'm assuming this is how it was designed.
I've had my airbag light get stuck on before and I found a certain button combination to push on this forum that I tried and the airbag light was reset. Is there something similar with the tpms light? It's really starting to annoy me.
fill them up to 35psi and it'll go off...they come on around 32psi so if you have a cheapo tire guage and it doesn't show 32psi accurately it might not have 32psi in it thus throwing the light...

^+1 (on both the 35psi and using a new digital pressure gauge)
The only resetting necessary for the TPMS system I know of is when you change to a different set of sensors. As far as I know, only the Nissan can properly reset the TPMS system (unless you have access to Consult III).

The dealer also told me that they need to be reset if the wheels are moved to different positions on the car... which sounds like a potential annoyance when you need to rotate your tires.

Not true...I've had my tires rotated twice now and they didn't do any reset on the TPMS...
Might have a malfunctioning sensor. Its not that uncommon. Just make sure you have the correct tire pressure that reads on the door, so the dealer doesn't play mind games with you.

I took it into the dealership today and all they had to do was reset it.. was nothing wrong, took 5 minutes, and I'm happy to not have that orange icon blinking at me when I start my car :P
There is a difference to the malfunction and low pressure, I believe I'm correct on these:
Blinking for the first minute and solid for the rest of the trip indicates a malfunction.
A solid light indicates a low pressure (never an over pressure).
