Extend the same length?

In comparison between a

22 x 7.5 35et and a 22 x 8.5 45 et

will these extend the same length towards the rear fender?

Not that I condone putting 22s on Altimas, but the 22x8.5s extend another 3mm.

Thanks for the info..you think that this is much of a difference as far as rubbing? or do they both rub..just one more than the other

^ If you get the appropriately sized tire, you will not rub with either setup on a stock suspension.
But chances are that since you're putting 22s on, you don't give a shit about appropriate sizes to begin with.

Something like a 245 or 255 mil width with a 20-25 % height aspect might do the trick with the 8.5 rim, or a 225/25 for the 7.5 rim, but good luck finding such a tire in 22.

Well most cars I've seen with 22's all have the 245/30/22 tires ont them.. I do want to lower the car probably with a pro-kit. so you think it would be any issues? I've seen an altima lowered with 22's on cardomain. not bags or anything just lowering springs and they've stated it doesn't rub..i don't know if they rolled the fender or not to make it fit?
