Mirada Sport GTX Tires? (any good??)

Hey, my dad wants to get Mirada Sport GTX Tires for his stock Altima 2.5S with steelies. 215/60-16 For $440.00 at VIP mounted and balanced. Yokohomo made? Can't find much information online on these tires.
Please let me know, I'd rather he get something better, but what ever. I like the tirerack.com Thanks

P.S. He lives in NH, and always uses the all-seasons throughout the winter, so factor that in also.

Hey, any help would be greatly appreciated, even if you could recommend these or something else. Sorry for the bump. What are the ratings, and what shops are best to look for tires, He always seems to go in looking for something good, and they sell him some underbrand crap tire with 0-Traction.
Thanks

This is from another forum site I found through a search, maybe you've seen it already:

"I sell tires for a living, and my store happens to carry these tires. Technically they are made by Yokohama, but you won't find the name "Yokohama" anywhere on that tire. You see, many tire manufacturers keep old tire molds around so that they can make tires for the private label brands (no name tires). At the store where I work, that tire goes by the name "Cordovan" Mirada Sport GTX. Cordovan Tires is owned by TBC Corporation, which is the largest wholesaler of private label branded tires. You'll find that almost 80% of all private label brand tires are owned by TBC, with most of them being made by Cooper and Goodyear. Although that tire has an "A" traction rating, "B" temperature rating, and a 50,000 mile treadwear warranty, it won't hook-up for [EDIT]. Wet weather traction sucks as well, partly because it doesn't have Silica added to the compound. It is nothing more than an entry level product for people who can't afford the expensive "H" and "V" speed rated tires that there cars came equipped with from the factory."

And yes, it is Yokohama, not Yokohomo. Yokohama does make good tires from reviews that I have read. I would like to get the Advan S4's but they are pricey. The Avid HS4's and VS4's are pretty decent but I can't remember the cost.

All I can recommend is to google "tire reviews" and read what comes up, that's all I do since I don't know much about tires.

I highly recommend Yokohama AVID TRZs. I put those on for a little more than the price you gave and they are wayyyy better than the OEM tires that came with the Altima. I know that's not saying much, but these are seriously good tires for the price.
