if your worried about the paints durability, you could spend a little extra money and just have them powdercoated. Then you don't have to do all that work yourself and the finish will be perfect and last forever, definetly worth the $200 or so you might pay to have them powdercoated.

I gotta agree with painting them. They would look awesome on your car! 20's is too much rim for a altima i think, but its your own opinion that will matter in the end!
+1 plus everyone knows im partial to black anyways...but, ill warn you....once you go black you wont go back plus its more fun on the dark side anyways
Fixed. I got your back.

Ha I was waiting for someone to say that. I do want those 20"s, although its gonna be hard for me to sell these rims, and I got to sell the rims I got to have the money for them.

I was thinking about getting them powdercoated. Only problem is every place around me will charge me 3 times $200. If I could find a place that would do it in the $200-$300 range, and I could trust they would do a good job, then I probably would do it.
I think I'm probably just gonna paint them, I've been doing a lot of research across the net about it, and I found a lot good info. Plus my dad is pretty damn good with a spray can,so I'm sure he can help me out a lot. With some dupli-color primer, wheel paint, and clear coat, I'm pretty sure I can get it to where I want to be.
I taped up another rim today, and if the weather is nice tomorrow (it was raining today), I'm gonna put both of them on, and see how I like it. I will def take some pics.
Thanks for all the comments, anymore suggestions and opinions appreciated!

Ehh, well you got to figure I already got 19"s on it right now, shit, whats 1 inch gonna hurt? And look at the god damn gap I got, I definitely could fit some 20"s in there perfect. And I'm going more for that drive slow with the system up sitting on 20"s look, more than that tuner I'm gonna race you at every stop-light look. If you kno what I mean lol. I think 20"s will fit The Alt's styling more. But of course, to each his own...
BUT...
I think its a definite that I'm gonna paint the rims tho. I put on one taped-up rim on today, and I fell in love. Here's a few pics:
I think its time to start prepping these boys for some paint!
Definetly like the look of the black but good god, look at that wheel gap!!
Remember, with 20 inch wheels you're going to have to watch it very carefully when you lower it, it's going to want to rub. I would recommened you just spend the money and go for the ground control adjustable coilover sleeves, then you can make the ride height just perfect for tire clearance and lowered looks. The same point actually holds true if your trying to lower it with the 19's too.
I also think your ride would look better without a pinstripe, but thats just me, i hate pinstripes. And while I'm at it, you should body color match the caliper/drum, the blue just doesn't go well against your car at all. But again...just my opinion.

LOL that gap does look terrible. I swear it doesn't look that bad in person lol.

How much are the Ground Control Coils?

Well it came stock pinstriped, white & this off yellow. It looked like ass, and you really can't get the stock pinstriping off, so I went with the next best thing, getting it re-pinstriped with blue & silver.

Well its a lot easier to get Dupli-color blue caliper paint then some stock brushed pewter paint lol. Plus I got the whole blue/black/chrome theme going on, it actually does flow pretty well with everything else I got going on.

LOL hell yea, I'm gonna paint them bitches. The tape job came thru huh lol. When most of my boys saw the rims they didn't even think they were taped-up, they thought they were painted, lol.

I took the black headlights out when I took the HIDs out. I had to take the headlight housings out to take the HIDs out, and I figured while I was at it, I should just put the stock headlights back in, since I had to put the stock bulbs back in anyway. Plus its good because the black headlights are getting protected over the winter. I had to take the HIDs out because of the whole cop situation, but that shit is all settled now and I won the case, so The Alt will be back by the summer!
I got the car legally inspected tho, and I took the front sun-strip off, the front window tint off, and the headlights, HIDs, and blue bulbs out.
By this summer though I planning to have the stock fogs in, 20000K HIDs in the fogs (with switch so I can turn them off), and the headlights back in with bi 8000K HIDs. I have some other suprises up the sleeve but I'll save them for later.
I've decided I'm going to paint the rims though.
BUT its not really gonna save me much money. The rims need new tires, I could get away with just getting one tire(because one of the tires is straight SHOT), but I would be way better off just getting all four.
I got like $500 to spend (and all the $ is going to the rims regardless), I was either going to sell the rims I got for like $400, and add the $500 and save up a couple more dollars and get 20"s -OR- buy new tires with the $500 for the rims I already have, and restore them and paint them black.
I will end up saving a lil more in the end painting the rims I got, and I do like them, and they are in pretty good condition, plus I already know what they look like on my car, so I think I'm definitely going to paint them.
I will have many pics throughout the process of painting them tho, plus I got a couple other projects in progress that I will also have pics/guides for.
There's going on with The Alt in the next couple months.
