Now if that isn’t enough…
Aight. Now as far as the paint. I did the best possible job I think anybody could have done when it came to painting these damn rims.
I did it over 4 months. Prepped like crazy, I really think I put 24 hours (or more) into each rim, over time of course.
You can refer back to the beginning of thread to see how well I went about everything. And I didn't even get into the half of it.
When it started getting colder, like around the time of the meet (October/November) the clear coat started cracking. And it just slowly got worse up to the point where I took them off (December).

After tire was taken off, dirty as hell looking terrible:
Some shots just to see the cracking paint:
I do NOT recommend anyone painting their rims themselves, no matter how good you think you are, or whatever. This is pure proof of that. When I planned on doing this, I saw some really great write-ups, and saw some really great ways people went about it, and jobs people have done. I also then saw where those same individuals who had did such a good job ran into the problem everybody has when they DIY paint wheels: they start looking like shit. I thought because I was going even harder, and doing more than all these other people did and all that, that it wouldn't happen to me. Man was I wrong, its definitiely the paint.
You cannot do a professional job with a can. Go the extra mile and get them powder-coated.
DUPLI-COLOR WHEEL PAINT DOESN’T CUT IT, YOU HEARD IT HEAR FIRST!
Also, I’m actually selling the rims for $50, no tires.
I’m keeping the tires for my new 19”s. 3 tires are good, and the other tire is the chewed up one that I am just getting rid of.
The rims are Kyowa KR206 19"s. And as you can see in the beginning of the thread, they come in aluminum, and black.
Honestly, they can be restored, but its gonna be a hell of a project. They need to be painted again, I would recommend powered-coated, but you can always do what I did all over again.
The one rim with the 2 bends and 2 cracks is really a done deal. It could be restored, as in needs both cracks welded, and you could ride the rims with the bends, but it’s a stretch.
I would probably suggest to buy one new black rim (or two if you don’t want to mess with the other one thats got the one crack either) and keep the others and repaint them black. You would end up saving some money.
I’m really like giving these rims away, so if anyone local is interested, let me know
