Cool Rims!

Need opinions!!

Well the spring is coming up, and I'm trying to have the rims back on The Alt by mid May. I had a couple ideas for the rims tho...

My original plan for this spring was to sell the rims I already have, and buy some black/chrome 20"s. I wanted black/chrome rims on The Alt originally, but I got a great deal on the rims I have now, and I couldn't pass it up.

2 pics of rims with styles kinda similiar to what I am going for:

BUT I had a couple more ideas other than getting the 20"s, and I just wanted some thoughts and opinions.

I was thinking of painting the rims I already have black, and leaving the chrome lip.

The rims that I have now...

Kyowa KR206 19"s:

..And they actually make my same rim in black/chrome exactly how I want to paint it:

Well I was curious to what the rims would look like in black…and I did a little quick conversion on a rim to get an idea.

I took black electrical tape, and completely taped the center part of the rim up to make it black. Kinda rushed it, and it could have been done better, but you get the idea:

Regular rim and taped rim side by side:

So basically I just want your guys opinions.

Should I paint them black? (This is kinda what I’m leaning towards, and most of my boys agree)

Leave them as is?

Or sell them, and get dem 20”s and stop bullshitting!!

And if anybody doesn’t know yet, right now I’m going for the look more than performance, so that’s why I am interested in 20”s.

Thoughts appreciated!!

The Koing Crosshairs are hot, I'm not sure if they would look right on The Alt tho. If I was to get new rims I was leaning towards the Koing Unknowns...

I like the chrome and black lip one too. Think it would look cleaner on your car.

I say get the 1st set of xxr's, but if it is more economical, just paint the 19's. Just to throw a monkey wrench in there, check out the xxr 510n

The XXR 51n are alright, I don't think there is enough chrome in the design for me tho.

I think I'm leaning towards painting the 19"s, anybody every painted rims though? I'm curious to how the paint is going to react to the rims finish. I've done some research and I know I got to sand it and all that, but I want to know what kind of durability its going to have after its painted...

I'd say paint them and leave the chrome lip.

Paint them and take the money you have left over instead of buying new set of rims and drop it.
