Find some more pics or lower some more cars! Finally picking up a set of wheels this weekend but I'll have to wait a while still until I'm fitted.
That's great to hear! Lookin forward to seeing pics...

MORE MODS TO COME
I completely missed these posts, but yes indeed those are very nice wheels lol.
And Brody, glad to hear you are going aggressive with your 2G. You are probably the only 2G on here that will have a good stance & fitment, unlike the other owners that are just about performance.
what you tawking bout Willis

Looks really good tho. There should be two other members in the works doing a 8" or 8.5" on their 2nd gen as well.
But yea, all I need to complete my look is a little better fitment. Still in the works how I'm going to go about it, cause ideally I would like to sell my wheels and get the 8.5's and stretch these 205/40's on em, but we'll see what happens
thanks B! I like to think I got the nice stance I put some work into it, to get it as low as possible and still carve up some road...
but yeah, have to agree with Mr Nut, your shit will look dope with 8.5' all around. no spacers meng! 1 full inch or rim added all around will look so ruff! warning though. your gonna wanna boost, cause she will have that look. mechanics that see, work on my car always ask what's under the hood 1st, then compliment. embarrassing when I have to tell em it's still the stock block....FOCK!

You have a nice setup no doubt Jae. But if I had your car with those Z wheels, that car would see tire tuck at LEAST LOL. Your car just needs what looks like caster adjustments, and slammage. And this is just me, but i'd go with a smaller tire as well.
My setup on your car wouldn't be very enjoyable for driving the twisties and such, which I'm sure is the reason why you haven't gone lower. And you don't wanna damage anything underneath that is. As for me, I should care about my undercarriage more but I don't and still wanna/will go lower.
Some time this month I'll be trimming my bump stops up front since I was pressing down on the front of my car the other day and there wasn't much play/stroke of the suspension. I'm sure they're resting on the bumpstops since they've kinda warped on the top lol...

i know coco. your all about the look. gotta respect that. i love the look. but i love driving more. not that you don't appreciate a well handling machine. you just favor being slammed more.
225/40's, cant go any lower like you said. i'll hate the ride...
here's a HD video i have yet to post, for those not familiar with my 2g:
running 18's allows me to pull this height off. really looks nice in person. 17's and i would def have to tuck the tires in. imo anywayz...
I'm glad youre deciding to join the scene and you're putting forth the effort to learn about offsets and dimensions. I love math so figuring offsets is fun to me. I just despise giving people who want the "look" the answers to everything because it should be in trial and error. Not just handed to them like they deserve it.
Lol yea. I've had fun searching and figuring out how to get the fitment I want I'm glad my research helped me find & figure out the "offset equation". Hopefully it will help those who won't, and don't want to put forth the searching or effort.

You must not have read, or don't understand my fitment post lol.
Ideally I would like to get the 8.5's, but I can achieve the same exact amount of poke & flusness as the 8.5's with my 7.5's with using a 15mm. A 7.5 +23 would have the same poke & flushness as a 8.5 +35 (refering to equation and calculator in 1st post).
My 962's are +38, and 38(offset) - 15(spacer) = 23(offset).
So after using a 15mm spacer, my 7.5 +38 wheels then become a 7.5 +23 wheel, and therefore giving me the same effect as a 8.5 +35.
So I can make my 7.5's fit and look like their 8.5's, but I just have to decide which route I want to take
And for some reason, according to XXR's website and few other sites, the 7.5's actually have a bigger lip then the 8.5's: The 7.5's = 2.25" & the 8.5 = 2"
.....so

I don't have to worry about what any "mechanic" thinks or says. I DIY
I read, most of it, shit was long. skimmed through it. good shit. what I'm saying is regardless of poke/flushness, whatever you want to call it.
8.5" rims will LOOK BETTER then 7.5" rims. I get that spacer stuff B. pushing your 7.5" rim out some with 10/15" spacers will give you the desired look from profile, but face on and from the rear, those tiny 7.5" rims will look ok, well fukc ok. where as 8.5" rims will look strong. get me B.
with that said. that's just for looks. 7.5" rims will do the job well. but you car is a beast. wider rims to complete the look, from all angles.
how much do those 8.5" xxr's wiegh? do you know. I was thinking you can get two 8.5" rims for the rear and go staggered....save some money.
I do get what your saying. And for the most part agree. I did want to make sure you undrstand what I was saying as well tho lol. And like I said, ideally I would like to get the 8.5's, I rather have to right rim size, then use spacers. BUT I gotta sell these 7.5's first, so I can step up to the 8.5's. I'm not tryna drop $600 on the same set of wheels I already have, just for a inch of width that I can achieve with $200 for some nice spacers.
If I sell my wheels for $400 which is what I want for em, then either route would only be $200, so obviously then I would go the new wheel route. I would like to see these 205/40's stretched on them too.
But at the same time, it is only a inch difference. It's not like I'm jumping from a 7 inch wide wheel to a 9.5 or some shit. You can't see the width of the wheels from the front of the car unless you wanna lay on the street and look with one eye under my lip, and from the rear, it's not gonna look that much different.
That's the beauty of spacers tho, for douche bags like me who wanted to tuck first, before poke lol.
And as far as getting two 8.5's I feel ya, I wanted to do that a year ago, but ABO cused me out and talked me out of it haha.
But if I go 8.5's, or use 15mm spacers, either way I'm gonna have the flushness and poke I need
And I don't know how much the 8.5's, weigh, but my 7.5's weigh 25lbs. I couldn't imagine them weighing much more.
