Silencing the horn

Just got my new Frontier. I have looked in the manual for how to turn off the horn beep when I lock/unlock my truck. It says to hold the lock/unlock keys at the same time for a couple of seconds until the flashers flash. So, I've done this w/ the car locked, unlocked, in the car, out of the car, etc. It still beeps when I lock/unlock the truck. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? I just want to unlock my truck w/o hearing the horn honk.

You are doing everything right. Try the other keyfob, or disconnect the negative from the battery then depress the brake pedal for a few seconds. This will drain off any power left in the ECM. Sometimes these systems just need to be reset. If that does not work you'll have to visit the sh**heads at the dealer.
