curious can i do it? seen other user has a v6 in his 93. will it bolt up to my 5 speed? will i have to change mounts or have anything welded? will the wiring harness bolt in and be right? thanks for any info.
If you use a '93 v6 and v6 trans it will bolt right in ...but why ?? Just buy a V6 truck , it will be way less ! since you are going to need a V6 donor truck to get all the parts off of anyways !!

Seems like a complete wate of time to gain what..............15hp?
If you're gonna do all that work, drop in something worth taking the time to accomplish. I'm a Nissan purist, but I have a V6 in my truck and it's not worth all the hassle. Find a Chevy 4.3, many more aftermarket upgrades too. If this is something you're dead set on on trying, I suggest you talk to some guys over on 4X4parts.com. They know their shit.

Or do it right with a new Nissan 4.0L ..275 HP/ TQ and it would be a rocket !!
LOL, a few guys over on 4x4parts, were discussing using a 4.5L V8 out of an older Infinity.
That 4.0L is a kickass engine, but I wonder how much work and time, not to mention, the ALL INPORTANT factor, MONEY, it would take to make that dream a reality. From the knowledge the OP was exempting, I think that staying with the original 4 cyl might be the wisest choice.

4.5L V8.. It makes me think now that this truck consumes a lot of fuel.. Now that fuels are going sky high... whew
