VG30I to VG30E engine swap ?

I'm new to this site and need help.

I have a 1989 SEV6 4WD King Cab, with a VG30I engine, that's blown.

Can I put a VG30E from a 1996 Quest in it?

If I want to run it as multi-port injection, what do I need to do about computer, wiring, etc.?

Yes, the swap is easily doable, but I'm not sure what all is needed for the swap. Check with the guys over at 4X4Parts.com, many of the members have done the swap with no problems.

Not a quest , since they were FWD nothing would fit right ... you will need one from a later truck or Pathfinder, and it would be fairly easy to wire .... If it were me ... I would be looking for a newer VG33E or event the Supercharged VG33ER ... a little more wiring but worth the extra grunt !!

You would need the engine, intake manifold and all the sensors , the complete engine to ECU wiring harness and ECU , also probably the E gas tank with fuel pump .... then you would have to wire it all up ... And if your Auto. there may be other issues ..

Anything is possible , dang I have a KA24E in my old 45 Jeep , fuel injection and all ... ... worth the effort on your truck ?? It would have to be pretty nice since you could probably go out and buy a good running VG30E Truck for about the same as its going to cost to swap ..
