My friend bought an 06 S2K and he says that he is faster than my 06 Z. I told him that my 300hp will run circles around his torque-less Honda and now he wants to race. The only problem I have with this is that I have no clue how to launch the Z (at what RPM). Any suggestions?
I don't think it will make much difference, honestly. You should be able to beat him either way.
Sorry, don't have an answer for you

Try launching at redline, smoke the tires for like 5 secs, By then he should be at 25,000 rpm and about to hit -VTARD- Shift to second and blow by his --------- 145 torqueless ride.

if on stock tires try around 2000rpm and ride the clutch for a sec so you don't spin and you should be ok. The Zs are hard to launch at 1st but after you do it a few times it gets better
Hello all... New to the tuner world, needed to ask those in the know. Wanting to install forced induction kit. Don't want to lose the look of stock for my 03 350z. Also don't want to upgrade stock engine parts to racing ones. What's the best kit? Vortech, HKS, ProCharger ...? and What's the maximum psi I can go up to without hurting my stock engine?
Question 2: If i Flash my chip can i increase horse power without any other mods? and if so by how much? what will suffer?
I was wondering the same thing about flashing the chip. Specifically, how is the 300hp engine different on the Z from the 287hp? Pretty sure it's all from the ECU?
