yeah that's most peoples reaction, but then again most people would of never attempted a 09VQ swap or never attempted a pnp Haltech unit on my type ecu, or ever dreamed of 300whp on stock FWD cams (that was my original plan with the swap).

Ill be able to swap between my 6spd and cvt pretty easily. So im not too worried about it. Its not like my car is on original motor and trans anyway.

Also there is very little development in the CVT side of things id like to change that. There are improvements that could be done.

Okay, I've been slacking. I've been super busy with work & the holidays.

Here goes nothing.

Meet Medusa. 09 Dark Slate 2.5s CVT I purchased on May 25, 2010 with 2,418 miles. I plan on converting to manual, dropping in the 3.5 V6 & boosting her. (Hopefully)

I basically have everything the 3.5 has minus the V6 & the side marker mirrors.

Had enough money saved up to buy an Audi S4 or A5 but bought the Altima & 08 Honda Civic Sedan instead.

I did this bc this is My Brothers dream car & He passed away in 09 at the age of 18. This car is dedicated to Him & His memory, hence all the PURPLE. That is His favorite color.

Started off with 15% tint all around & 20x8.5 +35et Lexani LSS-11s wrapped in 245/35/20 Toyo Extensa HPS.

Then put on the Stillen front fascia along with colormatched fiberglass eyelids.

Scrapped the fiberglass eyelids & got the eyelids painted directly onto the head lights. Also put purple leds all on the interior along with 30k hyper purple hids.

Got some custom purple led halos installed. (For sale if anyone is interested.)

Finally decided to slam her down on some BC Racing Coilovers & she was sitting perfect!

Until I popped a tire driving back from Miami. Got pissed off so I decided to look into new wheels. I went with Dynamic Performance Engineering out in Cali. Spoke to them in August, made moves & finally got my wheels in February. It was an entire 8 month custom fabrication process.

This is the massive pull I did on the rear quarterpanels. I also had to pull the front fenders.
Also have Project Kics Neo Chrome R40 extended racing lugs & teal fatlace dice valve caps.

The specs of the wheels are as follows:
DPE SP-SC10 Super Concave matte black face w/ polished lip
Front: 20x9.5 Nexen N3000 225/35/20
Rear: 20x11 Nexen N3000 245/35/20

4 inch lip in the front 6 inch lip in the rear.
-2.3 camber in the front & -3.2 camber in the rear.
(As you can tell I've been focused on my suspension & wheel setup for the past year.)

Also removed the 2 adjustable collars on the front coilovers to go lower & tuck some tire.

I'm 1.875 inches off the ground ;-)

I have an extensive build list so she is nowhere near done.

Congrats to all contestants, pics and stories are all unique and fun to check out and judge! Car looks clean Ta2 ta! Low fo sho! too bad u posted 22 days into the contest, but better late than never. hows da ride quality compared to ur 20's? shift knob, or shall i say shift stick is crazy!! def out there, but i know ur goin for the purple accent look so i understand. is it like a lava lite? so surra, i cant believe u would want to switch to cvt, but when u do, would u get the new or old cvt? (4th or 5th gen altima) i assume if u can get ur hands on a newer version cvt u would, no? Eskalaid and Twista battling for 1st at the moment! good stuff! Saving my vote till the very end!
