We have implemented a new payment option for Canadian customers who wish to use save some money on their purchases as use the banks online EMT system.
Users wishing to use the EMT system will be allowed to emt payments in Canadian dollars at
PAR, Simply by selecting the "EMT Canada" payment option from the checkout's payment pull down menu. This is great news for our Canadian customers as all the website prices are set in USD, using the EMT system allows you to save an immediate 6% (exchange rate as of this posting) on your order!
On the final checkout page you will be given instructions on where to put the EMT password, and where payments can be sent.
The reason we have chosen to adopt this option is because, it bypasses the gateways and credit card processing fees charged to us. Since it saves us money on each transaction and the following exchange back to CDN we can extend you savings by allowing transactions at PAR. It's WIN, WIN.
For those unfamiliar with what the EMT system is, it is essentially a paypal like system between the Canadian banks. If you use online banking then you are already set up to use the system. It is safe 100% secure and done directly through your bank account BY YOUR BANK, not a third party like paypal. Payments are near instant, but you are safe from misplaced transactions due to the password protection. You choose your password for every payment you send. If the recipient does not have the password they cannot get the money, and you have the option of canceling the transfer at anytime up until it accepted.
