wow, I know most people won't give 2 shyts about this, but I'm still gonna go for it.
I haven't felt this overwhelmed in a long time. In the last few weeks / months I've been using some of my free time to make some music. Nothing professional or intended to make $ out of it, just as a hobby. Finished the CD about a month ago, with 8 tracks (total run of about 35 minutes), then a few days ago I created a CD cover, named the songs and I made a few copies so I could give it to some of my co-workers (the ones I consider cool), some friends and my brothers... so everyone could laugh at me. Like I said, it was just for fun and I seriously expected laughs and even insults (joking obviously) but it turned out that they all loved it and some didn't even believe it was done 100% by me.
But the reason why I opened this thread...
...out of all the copies I made I kept one for myself and today I took it to my car, since I knew in the car it'd sound different. Well, my girl and I were going to get something to eat and I stopped in the bank to get some money from the ATM machine, my girl had her window open (I had mine open too and the sunroof I think). The CD got to her favorite track and she turned the volume up. I looked at her like WTF are you doing?? and she kept pointing something out. I couldn't figure out what she was trying to say so it was my turn, got my money, went back to the car and she tells me, look at the girl who was behind you in line... she was dancing listening to my song. She was a very cute black girl, I'd say early 20's, and even though most people will think I'm fvcking stupid for saying all this, I was so overwhelmed that I can't even describe it. I couldn't drive away without making sure she was listening to my track. When I turned it off, she looked at me like FU So yes, she was.
Another vote for posting MP3s.... Problem is that you built it up too much and expectations are too high. no pressure though.

Before you listen to it please read: 1.- I'm by no means a professional musician (used to play drums in a rock / metal band as a teenager, that's all). 2.- No lyrics, just music (if I wanted to add lyrics, I'd have to make it longer). 3.- No professional software used, just the free software that came with my $30 (after rebate) sound card (Sounblaster Live) and the free demo of PCDrummer for perscussion. 4.- I know how you guys are, leave my mother out of this, if you're gonna insult me, don't involve other family members (this one is j/k)
