I know I'm not the only one, I know there's a few of you out here...
Damn I just love it so much...
Speeding through, watching the trees blow past you, feeling the car become an extension of your body, and at night, the only light being the stars in the sky, the moon, and your headlights, being free, getting caught up in the moment, because nothing else matters that that moment, you're just driving, you're not worried about school, your job, the person you're falling for, nothing, you're so caught up in the moment.
And getting to the peak and overlooking one of the cities, all lit up with their lights, or even more beautiful at sunset, leaning against your car, and in my case having a cigarette, calming down after all the adreneline was being pumped, man I love it...
With that being said, today, thunder, lightning, everything oh so fightening. I live for nights like these, I'm so contemplating going up tonight, especially since I missed taking a run on Sunday night, when it was supposed to be the brightest the moon would be all year, and today being the first real stormy time in this area...
It's just, I've had my, wet road rain + trailbraking a turn = whoamyomfgwtfhell sideways incident, along with some other oversteer scares, and damn, I know exactly on my home there are 3 spots, given everything, I just might crash on tonight, but argh...
God I love it...

O.O
Now only if I got laid as much as I take mountain runs...
*sigh*
But for real...
Sigh...
I didn't make it up tonight, too much school work, but because of gas, I haven't taken a run in 2 or 3 weeks, and that's mind blowing to someone who goes up twice a week!
Thursday night, I don't care if it's dry as hell, pouring rain, or even snowing [heh granted it won't be, but if it did, that would be mad kick ass cool], I'm going up and taking my run.
I miss the mountain...
;_;
Although, personally, straight up mashing it in dry weather, to me is just as fun as going maybe 50% in the rain, fear is the same, maybe a little bit slower, but given the conditions, going 50% in the rain here, is like pushing it 85% in perfect conditions, same rush, same freedom, GOD DAMN IT I WANT TO TAKE A DAMN RUN.
lol go take a friggin run already! Just, as always, be safe.
I have to tell the truth, I am itching more to get my car sideways. Yes, I know it's an FWD and therefore cannot "drift" like RWD's, but any car can go sideways; for FWD, as RanisRon told me, it's a matter of four-wheel sliding. If nothing else, it's a challenge to get the FWD back under control after it's lost it. Those rear parallel link bushings help man, I'm telling you; makes it easier to control oversteer.
Anyway, where are the .net mountain racers? Hell, even backroad runners are welcome! I know there's you and I, RanIsRon, CerealKiller (sort of, mostly track I believe with some back roads), HCD4Drifter, even Soc_Monki says he carves up the back roads in Mississippi.
^I used to drive on the back roads around here all the time when I had my alty. I used to enjoy the trip from sc to ohio(did it about 6-7 times a year) b/c I got to drive through the smokey mountains.
Everyday , to and from work , I kinda live up in the woods , and I love the curvy roads , a great stress reliever !!

i wish i had a nice road like CerealKiller's apache trail...*sigh*
i need to get a decent job, save some money, and then we need to have a meet and all go mountain-driving! now that would be fun!
