my friend said the same thing. yet after he said it, I played a game with "poopoopants420" and "bloodfarts" and both names had days of game play. so if people complain, I'll be furious.
my friend had the name MooseNuts (last name is Mousso), and they said it was vulgar. yet, last night while I was playing, I played against a dude named "Deez Nuts".

It doesn't matter. It just lets other gamers know how serious about gaming you are.
And the names are hit and miss with their RoC police. I had a friend who had the gamertag ColonelWHoopAss and they said it was sexually vulgar. Another friend has had a name with a variation of F*ck (phuk/fook/something) since xbox live's inception on the original xbox.
i swear some people on live who are listing their community as recreation should really be in the underground or pro(or just banned altogether) becuase they talk ALOT of trash. I put myself in the recreation community so you don't have to deal with those trashtalking idiots. but i guess it doesn't keep those people separated from the rest. so the parents who put their kids under family end up subjecting them to listening to those idiots swearing and calling other people f*gs to whoevers plays worse than them. nothing annoys the crap out me more than the people who think they're all that and voice it loudly to everyone else.

true. i do agree that the whole community thing is kind of a joke. I'm not the bomb when it comes to games to i figured choosing the rec community would pair me with gamers of similar skill, which it doesnt.
Although i found out today that using the "submit player review" option allows you to fix that. if someone totally sucks or is way too good compared to your skills you can choose to prefer them or avoid them and xbox live will do either in future matches so if there are particular players that rape you every time(thus ruining your k/d ratio in cod) you can choose to avoid them and the system will actively keep you from joining a session with those players in it. It's just the opposite for players you choose to prefer, it will try and place you in a session which that player is in whenever they're online at the same time, without having to add them to your friends list.
