Found a little turtle friend I found at the shop!

Hey guys, the other day I was putting new tires on a truck, and when I looked down to get a lugnut I saw this little bugger move! At first it caught me offguard, being that he was just about the size of a nut, but after a second glance there I saw the little guy.

He was all dusty and looked pretty weak. I felt bad for him, and decided that I couldn't just take him over to the grass to let him go. So instead, I took him home to my house to put him in the backyard pond, to hopefully help him live!

Well I put him in there, and I wasn't sure if the could swim...I'd put him in, but he'd float and sink...so I figure instead of letting him drawn infront of me (in the event he really couldn't swim) I decided to put him in the grass near the pond, hopeing that if he could swim that he'd return, and that if he couldn't he'd have a better shot surviving out of town.

So the next day I check th epond to feed the fish and frogs, but dont' see the turtle...I figure for sure he 'ran away' or got scooped up by a crow/hawk/etc etc. I figured that was it, until the next day when I looke dout lunch and there he was swimmin around!

Turns out the little turtle could swim, and he was having a pretty good time in our lil pond. He's been there now for 3 days just kinda playing around and doing his thing.

So today, being that it was a weekend and that it was nice, I decided to snap a few little shots of him, so here they are. He's only about the size of a silver dollar (as like all small turtles), but he's really frisky! Also, excuse my dirty hands...I work for a living

So yea, it's pretty stupid probably to most of you, but I like frogs and turtles for some reason...plus it's kinda neat how when I grew up, all we had were Box Turtles/Painted Turtles and toads around the house...now that we have the pond in the backyard, we now also have attracted water turtles and frogs!

Pics of pond (last year)

Pic of Frogs (last year, but they are still there)

I like reptiles. You have EARNED prop points for caring about lesser beings. I like all smaller animals that don't suck blood or make me sneeze. (Spiders are cool and I promote them very much, they kill the annoying insects. But they give me the willies). Spider's rock, as long as they don't enter my domain. I would NEVER kill a spider (if I can help it). I always capture them and release them from my house.

Freaking awesome, your own wildlife refuge. What's better is they're your pets at their will, kinda cool.
