So I left work today around 6. I jump on the parkway and hells gate's open up. It's raining really heavy and everyones moving about 3mph. Im about halfway home when I notice this mazda in the right lane completely stopped and a woman standing outside of it. Now this isnt just ur average lane. It's a spot where 3 lanes turns into 2 and traffic enters the parkway. Not really a great spot to break down in the rain. So I stop and run over to help her push her car out of the way of everyone in traffic. What a good deed done. I get back into my car and drive to my friend's house where i normally chill after work. I go to get my wallet so we can go to the store...and what do u know. It's GONE. SH!T...
So I hauled my ass through rush hour traffic again and got to the spot where she had broke down. Didnt see the wallet anywhere when i drove up. Stopped and looked around and sure enough there it was...in the right lane wet... run over..and sad looking. After playing chicken in rush hour traffic I retrieved it
I'm not sure whether this was bad karma or good.
This is the second time in 4 months too > link

I thought you were going to say it was some kind of wacked out pick-pocket scheme. That sucks though, stop to help someone, and lose your wallet.....maybe if fell out after she "paid" you :
Nah, that was really nice of you though. I know most people will sit there, in traffic that isn't moving anyway, and just watch people struggle to push their vehicle.
I, like you, was on the way home in mild traffic, started taking my usual shortcuts which were almost equally crowded and it just starts pouring. It was almost as if I was going through a mexican car wash. I get almost home and I see this oldass cadilac near the service road by my house blinkers on, f'in up traffic. I wanted to help him... Nah, but this time I really thought about it. I was about to. And the thought of me thinking about helping him made me feeling so good about myself that I didn't even have to.
