Kingda Ka @ six flags

I haven't posted in a while but thought I would about my visit to six flags yesterday here in NJ. Biggest mistake was not getting there earlier. I picked my girl up and we got there right around 11:15. First ride she wanted to go on was Kingda Ka. Figured get the baddest one out of the way. We reached the line at 11:30....after multiple technical difficulties, we finally got on at about 4:15....yea that's about 5hrs people. 2 hours into the wai was the first "techical difficulty". So we figured we already waited this long. Made some friends with peeps online etc which passed the time. Needless to say we got on it and my girl was freaking out. I swear I thought she was goin to pass out and hyperventilate. I was fine simply trying to calm her down. Anyway in the blink of an eye it was over. 0 to 128mph in 3.3 secs and throws you up a 456ft tower....NICE VIEW!!!!!!!!! Then back down and your done. lol um yea....good ride but 5 hr wait...they need to fix that thing. Overall was a great day El Toro I think is one of the best wooden coasters at the moment...very nice job on it. We did Nitro 3 times because she loved it, Scream machine once, Skull Mountain (eh), Superman (this was kinda cool, my first time and hers).....was a really good day but I hate the fact we wasted half of it on Kingda Ka but honestly......the thing forces your skin back and you can't close your eyes if you tried lol.....good times.

I think you're beyond retarded for waiting 5 hrs for 1 ride, but glad you had fun

only been to Six Flags Magic Mountain.

When I graduated from Jr High, our "senior" trip was at magic mountain. They had the whole park closed from the public, it was just graduating students from a variety of schools. What would normally be a 4 hour wait time was now 15 minutes. Best time I ever had!

Sounds like Top Thrill Dragsters first season, breakdown after breakdown. I never waited for TTD in its first year, but the past two I have only waited around 2 hours at most for the front seat, and from what I've heard, the rides are about the same and the hill doesnt add much to the ride. I would still like to make a trip there and ride it though.

i hit kingda ka last year right after it opened. i had to wait 2 hours and that was with a 45 minute breakdown. absolutley crazy lift-off and its nuts that on a clear day you can see the shore off to the right.
nitro is by far the best ride at six flags.
