I am not big on the Z :o I guess I sorta agree on the "real SE-R". Real pocket rockets for its time. Decent upgrade over the non SE-R. But of course, it is still just marginaly better. I guess more so than the jump from Altima V6 to SE-R.
Slow, Altima SE-R do come with negligibly better suspension, bigger tire/wheel combo, etc. Oh and that little badge

Everyone on here is saying that se-r owners think their cars are the fastest on the road. I have seen no evidence of that. I'm not saying that there probably haven't been a few users with that attitude, but you can't group an entire car class together and say thats what we all think.
Our cars did cost more then standard altimas (no where over 30k however), but its because we wanted the extra features (performance + styling) that came with it. Many of you also wanted those same features which is why you put se-r bumpers, tails, etc. on your car. So make fun of the se-r all you want, but if you hate it so much, why are you trying to mimic it?
I guess you can tell yourself whatever you need to so you feel better. You're right... the se-r is horrible!

The SE-R owners have built the same reputation civic owners have. Civics (and SE-Rs) are great cars, but most of their owners killed it for the rest by acting like their cars were the auto industry's gift to mankind.
I personally don't think the SER is all that bad of a car. You get a shitload of options for the price. I wouldn't spend $30k on it, but it's not that bad.
