Almost $500 for a detector. Just don't speed!

Don't speed and the technology will be useless in a year after some new tech is created for the larger markets.

Looks good to me. I use caution, as always, even with a detector, but this would be an excellent replacement for the one I have now. I've definitely saved enough in tickets / insurance to justify the money spent on both radar detectors I've owned.

No doubt... My 8500 x50b has more than paid for itself, when I got a $200 ticket for going 68 in a 65 I decided I would rather front the money for a detector than have to deal with some cocky cop trying to make his quota.
Hats off to Radar Roy.

(btw, before anyone says anything... I modified the mount and it is angled down at the road quite a bit more now than it was when the pic was taken)

Sweet job Vanguard. Is that the countryjoycraft mount?

Here's mine:

the angle i took the picture made it look angled up but it's tilted down.

looks like the 9500i will mount right up w/o any modifications.

Yes it is the Country Joy mount. I put together a review on this a little while back, still very satisfied with the setup >Link<

I changed the bend point on the Escort mount to force it to angle down more... It made a big difference.

Hopefully we will be able to use the same mount for the 9500, maybe even get lucky enough that it uses the same power plug.

Nice setup man, I don’t see many people go to the effort to get a clean install. (suction cups ftl)
Now if we could only get a mirror integration like that V1 mirror you posted.
