SEOUL, Korea (AVING) -- <Visual News> LG Electronics unveiled its 3-generation time machine TV with dual HD support in Korea market. It allows users to watch two HD channels simultaneously on one screen or they can watch one HD channel while the TV is recording another HD channel. It features 160GB HDD and USB 2.0 connectivity.
This 3-gen time machine TV is available in both LCD and PDP TV lineup in different size - 37,42,47-inch for LCD TV and 50, 60-inch for PDP TVs. The 60-inch PDP TV supports full HD in particular.
Suggested price for LCD models ranges between 2,500,000(KRW) and 4,700,000(KRW) while 50-inch PDP model is priced at around 4,000,000(KRW) and 60-inch PDP 8,900,000(KRW).
Bleh... not really proof of convergence. It's just a TV with a built-in VCR that happens to use an HDD instead of VHS tape.
Same concept, different technology.

if you were any good in bed your wife would have remembered your anniversary and you would have gotten laid july 1.
LG has been doing that for a couple of years -- there have been a few LG models for sale in the US with built-in DVRs. But this is the first one I've seen with dual HD tuners.

I completely see your point porf...but I'm all about integration. I love being able to do everything on one thing. It's a tradeoff, I understand this, but in this day and age, too much time is wasted by moving to different machines/programs/etc to accomplish what one thing can do.
