I question the source credibility here. I'm on the boards for Battlestar over on scifi.com and there is no word of this yet. It's been rumored for a long time that season 4 would be that last though, so I guess I would understand. I'm sad to see it go, with the exception of most of season three it was an exceptional piece of television. I'm anxiously awaiting 2008 for the start of season 4.

Honestly, its WAY too soon to end it. Even though 3rd season was pretty much garbage and full of nothing, ending it in 4th season looks like a rush. Battlestar galactica should go on for 9 seasons!!! so it can pass all this cylon crap and get into finding earth!

they will probably get funding like Stargate SG-1 did and not end up canceling. I think stargate tried to cancel about 3 times and ended up with a 10 year run.

But with David Eick moving on to focus on Bionic Woman on NBC, how 4th will turn out is still questionable.

It's not really canceled. It's in case Bionic Woman become a hit and they lose David Eick for a long time. It's also about Sci-Fi giving the Caprica prequel the cold shoulder. And production cost probably sky rocket too much as show ages with so many regulars.
