I just started using my Gmail account as my main business email and I wanted to import it into my Outlook 2k3. The one thing I have always hated about Gmail was how slow long it takes to load its interface over the web. For this reason I hardly ever used the account.
So I setup my Outlook to connect via POP. I ran into a tiny issue though, when I gathered all my existing mail it downloaded everything I sent as well. I know that Gmail is a different then most Web based Emails where it gathers emails into a "conversation" but is there anyway to have it save my responses into a Sent folder and only keep the relevant incoming mail in my Inbox.
its weird... cuz just tonight i was in the middle of getting thunderbird to work with gmail and there you go and post this thread lol

I've searched far and wide for an answer to that question and never found one that doesn't involve setting up a filter. I just leave it be since I never use gmail via web to send emails, only to view if I'm not home and can't RDP to my home PC.

Which is not really a problem since it only takes a few seconds to set up a filter to mark the message read and send it to the sent folder.

if you were any good in bed your wife would have remembered your anniversary and you would have gotten laid july 1.
Yes, it's good for that. In Outlook, it creates a separate entry in your Tree as it would if you created an Outlook account for Hotmail. You can't apply Outlook filters to it, which is why I have no use for it, but it's perfect for mobile devices.
GMail kinda sucks. Well, not sucks, but its not any better than any of the other free email services. And why the fugg is it still in Beta?
