pics of my g37s after roof overlay

no real nice scenery here.. just a few pics i snapped outside of my house after covering my roof with black vinyl. i'll snap some real legit quality pictures soon

the roof is not complete yet.. the entire thing including the satellite fin was done with one piece of film. because of that, the fin did not turn out perfect (it is a bit bubbly at the base if you look up close), so i bought a black satellite fin cover from the dealership and should be replacing the original one pretty soon.

ya ya, this car doesn't come with a panoramic roof but i think the car looks cleaner and more luxurious like this.

the inspiration for my roof vinyl idea.. my mother's E class with a panoramic roof:

next and final "mod". Injen CAI. luxury with a little bit of a roar i had an injen CAI on my last G and it was absolutely amazing. this one sounds even more promising with over 14 hp to the wheels and about 10 torque (297 hp to the rear wheels total). check out the pictures and dyno sheet.. *Injen Intake Installed With Pics & Dyno* - MyG37

I've seen people cover their moonroofs with the vinyl along with the rest of their roof, the moonroofs still work, but they're covered over. I just don't get it, I love the natural light of just having the sunshade open (even if the roof is closed). I refused to get a car without a moonroof because I hated how dark the interior of a car looked without the glass roof.

Is there a trend going back to the old fashion sunroofs of the 80s?

the sunroof is tinted, not vinyled.. the sunroof itself is factory stock so funshine can always shine through

so far the most popular intake is fujita, and that apparently results in a loss of HP as a bunch of people's dynos confirmed. other intakes don't result in much hp change. this is the first intake thats cai and shaped the way it is around the air sensors.. i guess im hopeful for a high hp gain because my last G def. experienced gains from an injen CAI, but i wont swear by the numbers just yet, not until i see more 3rd person dynos.

I don't understand the point of this modification

I really don't

you just wanted to make it look like it has a panoramic roof?
