i just replayed some of the facts , it doesn't take a genius to see what i was talking about , i stated how many rounds were fired from each cop . does 31 rounds from 1 officer sound sensible when the 3 other cops fired a total of 18 rounds combined , at what point does self protection become malicious intent ? . also common sense would dictate that if you thought someone had a gun in a car you wouldn't stand in front of it , you would try to find cover to shield yourself , this isn't the ok-corral at high noon when 2 people stand in the street and face each other before firing , have you guys ever seen on TV , police confronting a gunman ? where do the police stand ? behind there cars .

I really do not know whether to laugh or cry at you thinking that how it is done on TV is how it is done in real life.
EDIT: Now that I think about it you are right. The cops should have handled it as they do on TV. They should have let the guy leave the scene, started a high speed chase in heavy traffic with one cop shooting out the window and making the tire explode. After a minute or so the car should hit a parked 1982 Buick, flip over 20 feet in the air 3 times, land on its roof then explode while no shrapnel hits anyone or anything else in the immediate area.

I mean honestly, what is the point of this? What is the point in standing in the middle of street to piss people off who have nothing to do with the case. He's just an attention whore. There are other meaningful ways to protest that do not involve standing on busy Manhattan streets causing gridlock for miles.

This is the kind of shit that just perpetuates the problem throughout generations. It instills a completely unfounded fear and hatred of police in people that probably have no reason otherwise to harbor those feelings. Instead it just increases tension and raises the chances of another incident occurring in the future. I can't count the number of videos\stories where simply complying or taking a half a second to think before taking action would have probably completely diffused the situation. Instead, we better be "hard" and stick it to the man.

i remember that night , it was about 38 degrees out (in NYC) , 4 guys get in a car , i doubt the windows were down and they just left the club early in the morning , if someone approaches your car under those circumstances with a gun and your car is in gear , floor it looks like a good option . the hardest thing for me to swallow is the fact that one officer emptied his gun , reloaded and continued to shot . 3 officers fired 18 rounds combined , the 4th officer fired 31 rounds by himself , if that doesn't sound wrong =
