I knew because I was raised with an education and an ass kicking (thats right, corporal discipline works and I don't give a shit what you human rights violation pansies think ).

If his parents knew that he was an out of control idiot (which I doubt they did since most celebrity parents start ignoring their kids and letting them do what ever the hell they want when they become teenagers), they would not have allowed him to drive until they were sure that he wasn't constantly hell bent on winning street races.

All actions have their consequences.

I think you care just a little too much about this story!

The fault lies within Nick, and his now veggie friend, not his parents! When I was old enough to drive, I knew that wreckless driving could possibly kill me, but did it stop me, nope. So just because 'You' didn't do it, and was raised with an iron fist, doesn't mean that every othe rkid will follow suit. I'm sure his parents tought him right from wrong, but Mr Badass did what he wanted to do anyways! You can't police your kids 24/7, and they will do stupid shit no matter how good of a parent you are.

nick hogan is an idiot , he wanted to drive fast a nice fast car like he sees in magazines with little experience . hulk hogan is a bigger idiot for letting nick at 16-17 years old pilot a 600 hp supra . if nick wants to be a race car driver he should have started with karting and put a few years under his belt competing . having lots of hp is nice , but you need to progress up to that level , you can't go from a bicycle to race car without missing the in between which is real experience .

you can't watch your teenager 24/7 but you shore as hell don't give him a rocket to pilot around !!!

WTF is he celebrating about? He almost looks like he'd proud that he slammed the viper into the wall. And my god....did they not teach him how to do it at all or did he just choose to ignore good advice? That was THE worst line I have ever seen anyone take for a drift. Its like he was playing too much NFS before driving the car.....actually thats exactly what he was probably thinking. "Oh the damage is no big deal, I can fix a totaled car in the game so this should be nothing!"

I care because I know there are a lot more idiots like him roaming the earth.

So you're saying his father isn't at fault for giving him the Supra to drive? Giving him a car is one thing, but giving him a fully built Supra is just pure stupidity.

Good parents don't need to police their kids 24/7. If their kids were raised correctly, they wouldn't do things that would obviously endanger people's lives. Kids are meant to do stupid things, but what Nick did here is beyond stupid. Its to the point of Darwinism.

^If darwinism was in full effect, he wouldn't be going to prison for 8 months. He'll be going to down under for eternity. Without changing his ways though, he'll get it sooner than later.

Everybody here is a judgmental prick. Brooke Hogan is the only one with the right approach as said on her myspace blog.

I know most of the public thinks my brother is some rich little selfish kid, but NO ONE knows the real story and I'm really pissed that the truth didn't come out from either side. A LOT of lies were told in that trial. Believe me. And it wasn't from us. John was NEVER home. He was at our house. ALL THE TIME. that should say enough…. Im not going to be out spoken right now, but If some s*** doesn't start getting straightened out, A lot of people are going to eat their words for lieing. I know all of the truth and I have back up. I never know how twisted this world could be but I'm starting to figure it out. And I'm gonna have to jump off my high road and tackle some ppl who are taking the low road. I know you guys don't understand, but you will really really soon. Keep praying. And by the way, before you judge anybody, make sure you really know them. I promise you if you were to meet my brother he would give you the shirt off his back. He's not "NICK HOGAN." AND hes not the person he plays on tv. People are so gullible now a days…"
That veggie John is a real asshole. If he didnt want to be in a vegetable state he should have never been at their house ALL THE TIME in caps. Im glad Brooke cleared things up. Obviously John is a lying prick and should stop taking the low road and he got his since he was never home. Its all just a misunderstanding. That being said. I truly understand how Nick is the real victim here. Poor Nick! Keep taking the high road Nick and people will truly understand soon!

I'm going to say that it was in full effect (since his actions would justify his own death). But I'm also going to say that he was just damn lucky that he walked away from it. Darwinism is definitely present, he just hasn't gotten the award yet....and I agree that he eventually will. We all know he's not going to learn from this.

inexperience + 600 hp = recipe for disaster .
its very easy to lose control control of a 600 hp supra .
if your teenage son wants to learn how to ride a motorcycle you don't give him a hayabusa
there's a big difference between a 38 revolver and an AK-47
