I know it sounds cliche, but maybe we can all use this as a reminder to tell the people around us how we feel. Talk to them more, tell them you love them if you haven't in a while, etc.

Mike used to tease me about not loving him anymore because I have been so busy with work and school lately that we don't talk every day like we used to, and now I regret it and have to live with that and I'll never forgive myself.

It's a horrible feeling, so do what you gotta do, people!!

I can say by experience that accident reports are anything but accurate. When my wife was in an accident where her friend was driving and they lost control of the SUV and flipped unto oncoming traffic, the news report painted my friend as a reckless driver speeding and weaving through traffic.

My wife said the only time they changed lanes abruptly was when they tried to avoid a driver entering the highway without signaling and they lost control. she also said they were going with the flow of traffic, not speeding at all.

Never trust traffic accident reports unless they have actual footage of the accident happening.

That being said, RIP Drgnbdy...

He was the nicest guy i never got to met. I traded many pm's with him, and this is quite tragic news to me.

RIP Mike. My heart goes out to your family and your GF's Family.

It was tragic news to me as well. We had met years back and kept in touch on and off. Its been a while since we had last sent each other messages, but I actually tried to message him a few days ago, the day before he passed on. the ironic thing is that we have a local forum that I never knew he was apart of, in which I was an active poster. I then saw his signature here on .net, the same of which I saw on our local forums. I put two and two together and immediately caught me off guard.

Mike we will miss you!

A very good friend sent me this in an email and I wanted to share:

I know things seem impossible right now- like you will never have a normal day again, and that you aren't going to be able to function ever again. But this pain is very new, very real and very deep. You are going to have to let yourself have time to heal from this. And although Mike will never be out of your head or out of your heart, you will see that it does get easier. Not fully back to normal, but you know he would want you to grieve and then move on, and you aren't moving on without him, you are moving on with him. You are the 1 that has to keep him alive now. A body is just physical, but as long as you keep him in your heart and mind he will always be with you and you will come to find that the good memories that you have and the thoughts you carry with you are thoughts that I believe he is putting there to help you. He hasn't left you behind forever, but we both know he has always ran faster than you- you just have to give yourself time and 1 day (a long way away I hope) you will catch up with him and you guys will be running side by side again just like old times. ~Nicki

I don't really know the guy. But looking at past threads people linked and reading his posts.... Feels eerie to be reading stuff and the person is gone.

RIP

Commuting isn’t sexy. In fact, I don’t think commuting even qualifies as cool in most people’s book. Which is kind of odd when you consider just how much dedication is required to slog your ass to work day in and out—dodging errant SUVs and potholes, only to arrive at the office slathered in a thick mucous-y slop. That, in my book, is pretty damn hardcore..

Mike really was a good guy. He was the first person I really talked to when I joined the site and I let him talk me into attending a meet like a week later. We hung out a few times...me, him, Josh, Tim...couple others...rode around town, watched 2F2F for free (lol) in the theater. He will be missed.

RIP Mike
