Its a shame to see such young lives come to an end. I guess a life is just that...whether you live 8 months or 8 yrs or 88 yrs, it qualifies as a life. Cherish what you have an strive to be a better person each day your on this earth. No one is guaranteed tomorrow. Hug and kiss the ones you love everytime you part ways...you never know if that will be the last time you see them. It sounds cliche...but its a fact of LIFE.
Im sorry to hear about this tragedy and my condolences go out to Mike and his GFs families.
RIP bro.

Thanks for all the updates, Josh. I really wish I could be there to pay my last respects to a great guy and a great friend. Say some words for me, hon.

Didn't know the guy personally but i think it's absolutely got to be the worst thing in the world for any parent to be planning their kids funeral. I've read about alot of young kids dying in car crashes especially here in NY it's almost every other weekend. A couple of kids died just this weekend speeding and hit a tree. It's a shame you can't be given a second chance to relive a mistake and learn from it. R.I.P
Do you know the legend of the Cherokee Indian youth's rite of passage?
His father takes him into the forest, blindfolds him and leaves him alone. He is required to sit on a stump the whole night and not remove the blindfold until the rays of the morning sun shine through it. He cannot cry out for help to anyone. Once he survives the night, he is a MAN. He cannot tell the other boys of this experience because each lad must come into manhood on his own. The boy is naturally terrified. He can hear all kinds of noises. Wild beasts must surely be all around him. Maybe even some human might do him harm. The wind blew the grass and earth, and shook his stump, but he sat stoically, never removing the blindfold. It would be the only way he could become a man! Finally, after a horrific night, the sun appeared and he removed his blindfold. It was then that he discovered hisfather sitting on the stump next to him. He had been at watch the entire night, protecting his son from harm. We, too, are never alone. Even when you don't know it, he is watching you, sitting on the stump beside you. When trouble comes, all you have to do is reach out to Him.
Just because you can't see him, doesn't mean He is not there.
Just don’t take the blindfold of too soon, you have to believe-
