A very good friend of mine, and a long-time member here, was killed in a car wreck last night. Some of you OGs know Mike as Drgndby; he recently changed his SN to Slow4dr when he bought his (now boosted) Lexus.
Mike used to have a very clean black 2nd gen and was a good contributor to the site. He hasn't posted much lately due to not having a Nissan, but I know he still has some friends on here. If anyone would like information on how to help the family or express condolences please PM me and I will get you in touch with his best friend, who is also having a really hard time with this.
It makes me sick that I even have to say this but absolutely NO derogatory posts will be allowed in this thread. If you have something negative to say you can either keep it to yourself or take it to PMs or off the forum. I realize this is OT and, generally, anything goes but I swear I will ban anyone who just wants to come in here and talk shit about my friend. This thread is meant as notification of a member passing only, so keep it to yourself.
WTF? God forbid we slow down some traffic when a fatal accident happens! And also, why are we automatically assuming alcohol was involved? That whole news story just basically blamed everything on the driver and made it seem like it was his fault and he screwed everything up. Have some ****ing respect people.
I didn't know him but i remember him on the boards. I'm sorry to hear this. May he rest in peace.

Mike was one of the only remaining truly good guys around. I can assure you that drugs or alcohol was not a factor with Mike. Speed, I'm sad to say, probably was. I just recently went to see a movie with him and went to the strip with him in his Lexus and he had been talking me through a rough patch in my life. I'm devastated right now and will be attending his funeral as soon as I hear the arrangements. His friends and family, me included appreciate the prayers and thoughts. Please don't forget Mike, as I can promise you he would never forget you guys.

I wish I could go, too, Tim. Mike was one of my 1st friends here when I came back to .net just over 5 years ago.
I absolutely love that pic of him by his truck.
He loved taking pics and having his pic taken; he would always ask my opinion on hats and jackets and I remember when he wanted a motorcycle - he hadn't even bought the damn thing yet and was already looking for what outfit and helmet to buy!
wow, thats really shitty. i was going to hook up with him at ft. campbell once to go mess with some lowered trucks, we even talked once about building me one.
wow. thats really all i can say.
rip bro.

Awesome pic choice Tim. The passenger was Sara, his gf. His parents and sisters were going to meet her last night at family dinner. I will keep this thread updated for anyone that is local and wants to pay their respects. Please get in touch with me if you have any questions.
And like Shandi and Tim said, alcohol or drugs was NOT a contributing factor.
Mike was just doing what we did best. TOP SPEED
I remember this guy. The only comment I'll add is that I'm holding judgement. If all that people say are true, and he wasn't drinking thats a good thing, but if he was speeding on a wet roadway, I will still say that's ****ed up that he didn't just take his life, but his passengers as well.
