Car Cruize Photos

We hosted a cruize the other day, first time for an annual thing we're going to be doing. Thought I'd toss up a link to my photobucket slideshow. It was small, only about 2 dozen show cars and maybe a hundred poeple showed up. Local police and VFD were there and we had a nice big bonfire to take the chill out of the air.

The black 57 Chevy was my ride for the day...what a blast to drive. 400ci mildly built sbc with a nice tihgt 4 speed hurst behind it. Sounds alot quicker than it really is, wife's A4 would probably take it in the quarter mile, but its an awful lot of fun to chirp third gear every time you pull away from a stoplight.

You haven't spent much time around hot rodders, have you? Cruise is the correct spelling, "cruize" or "cruze" are the accaptable sub-cultural spellings.

Kind of like "boyz" or "rimz", but the rodders have been doing it for 40 years or so.

........... 96 Sebring..... are you for real, someone brought that to a show....? I hope you get a better turn out next year. A few nice cars there.

Yeah...my father in law brought it...it was my wife's idea.

It was either that or his scooter...he wouldn't bring his hot rod fomr some reason...he's very self conscious about it and I can't seem to get through to him about it.

Nah, I spend my time with people who can spell.
