It doesn't matter how good a skill someone posses, if they rushed though it and simply just doesn't seem to give a shit, the result will be a crap job like this.

This guy just seems like he has very poor time management and rushed everything with the "ah fck it, just get it done" mentality.

His shop is DIRTY AS ****.

It shouldn't even be considered a "paint booth" where he sprays them.

Paulie, we already know you're an asshole.

If you've ever seen this guy post on any forum, he's been talking about change, doing things right the first time, doing the best/cleanest job possible, hooking it up to repeat customers, bring him business and he'll offer discounts, etc etc.

Even though we had seen his terrible jobs, we had seen some great jobs.

That's why we decided to give him the job. I was great friends with Mike. He'd always give me advice when needed, always offered to help in any way, but this is just unacceptable.

This is in no way, shape, or form Brian's fault.

Mike guaranteed things to be done correctly, no short cuts, clean finish.

He never said "There's a high chance this is going to come out crappy."

I wish I would've saved the AIM when I clearly asked if it was going to be shot on or off the car.

He told me always off the car to guarantee maximum coverage.

Yeah, right...

Yeah, right...
so, you walked into the shop, saw how dirty it was, saw his paint area, yet you still let him work on your car.

you were aware that his work is hit or miss (you stated it yourself), yet you still let him work on your car.

the "oem fitment" issues you posted? unless he paid to have the kit molded on, which from what you posted, there is no mention of that, then you're not going to have an "oem fit". that is not the shops fault. that is the kit makers fault.

unless you have all these "promises" the dude made to you on paper, then you can shove the whole car up your ass.

you're being punished for putting a ricey lip on the car.

If you want to talk about rice, let's just talk about your big bird yellow Altima.

When we walked into his shop, it was semi-clean.

Swept, minimal dust, etc.

When we picked up the car, it was retarded dirty.

So it's not like we walked in expecting the shops condition to worsen as the days went by.

It's the shops fault because he guaranteed oem fitment. As in, he'd make it fit like oem standards.

And, yes. We do have the promises he made on "paper".

Wow, does everything literally fly right over your head? We made this thread to get the word out so no one will go to his shop. He shouldn't even be in business with a work ethic like that. But you fail to understand this...

He promised a lot of things on paper, including "heating the kit to mold it to the car". He did honor his promises by saying he'll fix all the things he ****ed up. But do I really want him to touch my car again? No. So, let me explain again...

THIS THREAD IS TO GET THE WORD OUT SO PEOPLE KNOW WHAT KIND OF WORK THIS SHOP PUTS OUT!!!

Wow man. Really sucks to see this, looks like if it was done right that lip kit could have looked amazing.

I've never heard of that a business can send money to the BBB to erase his record.

Oh, Paulie, get the stick out of your ass. I hope you don't talk like that at your "shop" that you work at, otherwise you aren't going to be having a job soon. A body shop can be dirty, as long as the paintbooth isn't dirty, it shouldn't matter, because guess what? It's a body shop, bondo being sanded, paint being sanded, it's going to get dirty. Also, he never said it was hit or miss, he said and I quote "
So, after talking with Mike and hearing the good(and bad) things about him, I decided to give him a shot." which to me, sounds like the good outweighed the bad. Any body shop is going to have some kind of bad story because a customer is always expecting more than the bodyshop can do. So, why don't you go bitch and complain at some customers for putting some rice lips on their cars.

The first few pictures looked like simple botchups but the screws are just too much for me. What a careless half assed fuckup of a job. The guy ruined your car. I wouldn't even take it back to him if he promised to fix everything

GAT dam man! That's just wrong! I would have been weary at the initial low quote of $250.

Wow.... My jaw was dropped the entire time looking at those pictures. That's just awful... the screws really did it. Definitely report him to the BBB and spread this on as many forums as you can. Good luck w/ the car!

Yeah, $250 for paint + install would've sent me running, but hindsight is 20-20.
