At this point, we just want the car repaired back to OEM spec, reimbursed for the paint/install, and more than likely the kit that we *could* have worked with ourselves.
We could have done cleaner cuts ourselves. We could have mounted it better ourselves.
The only reason why I didn't prep and paint this myself is because I thought a body shop would have more experience fitting kits than I did.
A lawsuit is definitely in order.
He hasn't bothered responding to any of the threads posted throughout the web, let alone on Zilvia.
Whoa, this is the Mike that painted Grant's Y33 and his wife's UCF11?
He sprays without a mask, no wonder he thinks this sh*t is acceptable.
Yes, that's him.
Grant actually parted out and junked both chassis because the paint was so bad.
and I quote...
yokotas13
"he ruined two of my cars.
yeah, my celsior had parts on the kit that were still white, the back edge of my hood was white still, paint instantly chipped a week after when i was washing it, runs everywhere, huge orangepeel, parts of the door jamb had white on my car still etc etc etc"
I skimmed through Mike's previous work and am still amazed with it.
I don't know what the hell he was thinking when he shot this, but a simple apology doesn't fix a 1 year old Z33.
But like I said on my350, there's no way in hell a guy can do SEMA cars and f*ck a Z up this badly. Or even worse, be flown out to Japan and f*ck up TWO cars. It's beyond unacceptable.

This is spreading like herpes.
Very well learned. Don't fuck with knock-offs, and don't trust people named Michael Quinn to do body work/paint for you.
done again. in all honesty, your boy should have been way more cautious even when he knew about all the bs work he did (i know hindsight is 20/20). I personally am sOOOOOO anal with my car that I not only pay way more to find the best shop to do the bodywork, but I also spend a lot of time asking around and researching the shop before I ultimately bring my car there. Reason is that I too had a bad experience with a very reputable shop in the tri-state area with subies. I ultimately got it fixed though, but it was only a rear bumper..nothing crazy like your boys Z.
The cheapest and best option in my opinion would be to have a professional shop go over and repaint the kit, re-mount it, smooth it, mold it, etc. It's going to be more money I think to return it to stock to fill all the holes. But I think with some work you could mold and fix the kit, fix the doors, and actually make the car look good again. Granted, you won't be able to return to stock, but you will have your Z with a kit that looks good. You'll just have to deal with knowing theres holes under your kit. Oh, I wrote this post when I couldn't see the second set of pics crimson posted, so I'm going off the damage I saw in the first pics.

Jorge18: Yeah, at this rate it looks like you won't be getting it back =/
This is why I am going to take it up to small claims. Mike offered to fix all the damage, but I don't want him to even look at my car. If I win the case(most likely, I will) he will have to pay up. If he doesn't pay up, they can hold a lien against something he owes that is of equal value, if I recall correctly(feel free to correct me if I'm wrong).
I've taken it to 2020 Auto Body in City of Industry for an estimate. Funny thing is, Mike said he used to work there when I picked up the car. So, out of curiosity, I went to 2020. They do really high end work and I knew it would be a lot of money to fix it there(should have gone there in the first place, but what's done is done). The owner's wife said they haven't heard of Mike and never hired anyone by that name! The estimate came out to 4200 without the kit. That's just to go back to stock.
The kit on it right now isn't worth keeping. Probably going to trash it and just go back to stock.
since he did mess up the car as much as he did might as well run him over, u know it might make the wood stronger, then agian no one would notice the damge from running him over, sorry to hear he did that shi* i would freaking kill if some one did that to my ride
