New Microsoft Store

Saw it in the mall here last night. It's pretty disgusting how much of a direct copy of the Apple store it is. It reminds me of Hyundai/Kia with their "original" designs.

So? If it works and makes money, people are going to copy it. Nothing wrong with it. That's why technology advances, designs get better, service gets better...

I'll have to go check it out. I want to take a look at the Zune HD.

So they took Apple's design and made it better? Apple didn't create the MP3 player, but they took a design and made a better version (granted not in my eyes, but basic idea).

Technically, Xbox was better. Consoles were not new though and in terms of that gen, the Dreamcast came first.

MS had search first, actually. Bing is just their latest version. MS has been in the search game a LONG time.

Huh? Compositing support is hardly an innovative feature from Apple. Other than that, I don't know what you could be referring to. Making things look better is always a goal for any OS. Little side bar widgets have been around for a long while on all sorts of operating systems (compositing support just made them prettier). Everything else was pretty much standard Windows.

^ I think you need to re-read his post... He said that when something gets big, microsoft wants in. That sure was the case with Consoles and MP3 players at least.
