Im burnt out on beer, gotta drink to much to catch that feeling, then its too late..and 10 beers a day gets a lil pricey even drinkin at home..........so I spark to relax.........................fu k em
I recently tried some beers called Shock Top that are brewed through the makers of Budweiser, and I was pleasantly surprised.
Shock Top sells a variety 12 pack which I purchased that had both an Amber Ale and a Belgium White in it, along with some other raspberry-foofy-girly-wine cooler looking/tasting thing that I wasn't interested in drinking.
But as far as the Belgium White and the Amber Ale are concerned, they were both very good and reasonably priced as well.
Now there is news that Shock Top is coming out with a Wheat IPA as well.

what about trying the darker beers with 15% alcoholic content?? then you'd be buzzed after just a couple of them instead of trying to drink 10 beers just to get that buzz feeling!! IPAs are a little too bitter for my liking. The only IPA I really like is Stone IPA

I guess its just an acquired taste for the darker beers that I don't have yet, I'm more of a whiskey guy with alcohol.....with Beer I only drank the piss beer, I guess that's why I got burnt out on it...next time I'm at a Bar Ill bust out my phone and order some of these Beers in all the pics on this thread..

I wouldn't really describe most IPA's that Iv'e had as "too bitter", but they are more so what I would consider as an "acquired taste".
I actually think the darker beers that you are describing above are the ones that I would consider bitter.
And I suppose if I were to recommend any beer to the person (Petty) who posted here and said they were burnt out on beer, it would be to stick to the cheap beer you currently drink when you do.
I personally don't drink IPA's that often and view them as more of a treat, but when I do drink them, it's not like I'm slamming them in an effort to get drunk either. IPA's to me are more of a sipping beer than anything.
But if someone is drinking beer just for the pure effect of it, IPA's will get you there rather quickly, and anyone who hasn't ever drank them before should be very careful with them.
They will creep up on you and smack you pretty quickly if your not careful.

couldnt have said that any better myself
i do the same thing. i drink my miller lite mostly especially when at home. but i have my stash of pale ales, Ipas and boston lagers for when i want a treat as you say. i drink those much slower and drink them for the flavor and to actually get a lil buzz vs the lite stuff. i dont have more than MAYBE two at a time. i do that to keep my stash running longer, keep my taste buds from getting too used to it and to save on the calories
