The Brew Review...
OK...since we managed to get OT in an OT thread about it, let's give it it's own place of honor. This thread is to be dedicated to the most worthy past time of past times...
DRINKING BEER!!!
So post up about what you are drinking...new/old with who makes it and what you enjoy/dislike about it.
Tried Snow Day from New Belgium last night. Dark in color, with a medium to heavy body. Good flavor with some hints of chocolate/coffee and a near burn of an IPA finish that was quick to hit and go...none of the lingering an IPA has.

The saranac winters are quite good. However, that is a winter time beer. My summer time beer is almost exclusively Shock Top.
Love shock top's light crisp flavor with a hint of citrus and a clean smooth finish.
I'll drink guinness when I can afford it :/ I love the heavy body and hoppy finish. Its just expensive.

I do sometimes hate the IPA's "lingering" effect.
Had Blue's Moon's Winter Ale recently, has a bit of a chesnut and vanilla hint to it, nice, dark color, and really smooth finish.

Sam Adams Chocholate Bock last night.
Nutty with a subtle hint of chocholate. Be sure not to drink it too cold, it really masks the flavor.....A lot like you see in Guiness.

Living in he Pacific Northwest is like living in microbrew heaven. Between WA and OR, there are a lot of good ones.
I have quite a few favs, but I will post them as I think of them or get one in hand
Black Butte Porter...Deschutes Brewery
What you want a porter to be. Thick and sweet with a lot of choco/coffee flavor

Now that sounds good!
I also like Well's Banana Bread Beer. Dark, thick brew with a subtle hint of banana. Goes down smooth.

Most of you probably won't have heard of this let alone tried it, but I enjoy a Four Peaks Kiltlifter.

One of our local beer houses does a rotation of 16 different types of beer on tap. Kiltlifter has been in their rotation...good stuff

The Kiltlifter was a good beer as is Shock Top. The hubby already posted a few of the ones that I like as well. My ultimate favorite is Xingu, a brazilian black beer. It's heaven in a glass. I also like Lost Coast Eight Ball Oatmeal Stout, Killian's Irish Red and any well done Scotch Ale.
Signed,
The Wife

If you like a good Scotch Ale....Do not drink Sam Adams Scotch Ale..it tastes like nail polish remover.
Now ..you are wife of whom?

Killian's is pretty good. I have a buddy out in the country that brews his own take on it. Awesome beer.

Sams Cherry is good, but, another one of those I can only have one or 2 beers or it gets a little sickening......
Always come in their summer samplers and I usually drink them when it is really hot outside and I only have time for one on my deck
