After a 2011 season where Romeo Crennel’s unit carried the team like LeBron carried Cleveland, this autumn could bring a historically stifling defense to Arrowhead Stadium. But how do the Chiefs field a unit that is the class of the NFL?

In layman’s terms, they’re freaking stacked.

thats it, Basketball is over. as a Heat fan you know how im feeling

now im waiting for Football

NY Giants will have a tuff schedule, no doubt, but we kept Osi and we picked up another Nicks type wide out via the draft.

hope those days of Eli regressing are done. if so, we're in the playoffs again next season. gotta love that at the beginning of last season Eli caught so much shit for mentioning he is a top 5 QB, and then gets the MVP for the Superbowl to close out the season. I love where the G-Men are at right now...

Yeah I bet, I was surprised that OKC couldn't get another win. They were such a second half team all season, but they just let themselves get into too much of a hole every game. O well they are young and I am sure they will get back to the playoffs.

Lebron finally got what he wanted, I wonder how pissed Cleavland is? I just can't imagine being that pissed at someone you used to almost worship. That would be like me wishing Tony G harm because he went to Atlanta. He will always be a Chief in my mind, he just did what he felt he had to do at the time.

Well said. And on the OKC topic, I thought they were going to take Game 4 since they started out hot for a change. Westbrook reminded me of Rondo with his 41-pt game in the conference finals...43-pt game and your team still takes the L after 48 minutes. That's gotta suck. And Westbrook's 4-20 performance in Game 5 will never be forgotten

Overheard at Camp
Allen (@savagechiefs92) and I sat next to Jon Baldwin’s dad during practice tonight. He also played at Pittsburgh and he played with Bill Maas and Dan Marino. This guy was awesome. He was cheering for the entire team and kept on asking us who the players were. He was impressed with Cyrus Gray.
The coolest thing he did happened before practice actually started. He said, “watch this”. He then stood up and cuffed his mouth and hooted a call that sounded like a crow and couple of times. Baldwin was on the other side of the field, but when he heard it, he snapped his head around looking for his dad and when Mr. Baldwin raised his hand, Baldwin waved at him and continued on catching balls. His dad told us, “I have done that for him since he was playing ball as a kid. He would tell me, ‘Do the call daddy, so that I know where you are’” It was extremely heart warming.

The 49er's played out of their minds on defense last season, and I just wonder if they will be able to duplicate that.

I'm not saying their defense isn't for real, but some of those stats from last season were once in a lifetime ridiculous stats.

They will be very hard to repeat.

Also - Alex Smith finally had one good season after being in the NFL for like ever.

Can he have two in a row?

I'm a huge 49ers fan and I felt bad for smith. He worked his ass of last year. Yea he didn't have a lot of yards but he didn't throw many interceptions. Also the guy has had a different t offensive coordinator every year he has been there. That's hard to learn a different style and playbook every year. I think with his desire and drive he has he will bring home a super bowl. The defense is amazing. And I think they will be just as good as last year. Maybe not allowing only 3 rushing touchdowns all year stats but they will be good. With the additions they have they should win the super bowl. They killed the giants last year in the playoffs. The two special teams drops is what cost them the game. They also came back in under two minutes to beat the saints. They will be able to spread the ball around more and not rely on running or Vernon Davis to do everything. I can't wait for this season to start. First game for the is against the packers away. What a game that is going to be.
