I'm sorry...what? Where are you getting your numbers?! Your has 260hp (at the fly). The Genesis is 375 at the fly and dyno'd 352 to the wheels (on premium). Genesis pushes, you pull. Your seats are harder than your boyfriends dick. Mine are buttery soft. Need I go on?

LOL at this thread from this morning. From a tech standpoint- I believe the 2013 Altima does have more, but that's an apples to oranges comparison anyhow plus it's brand new.

I'm definately not a fan of Hyundai (mainly styling reasons) but the Genesis Sedan just about the only car in their stable I like. I wouldn't really call it "premium" but definately a great upgrade from your 2.5.

Glad to see you opted for the bigger engine. You went the pussy route once....no need to do it twice, especially when mpgs don't differ that much

considering I (proudly) know nothing about Hyundai, I made a mistake. wikipedia states your car has the same hp as mine. 260hp is a 3.5. so add 10 from the factory + mods and maybe 280.

my seats aren't hard. I don't have a shit 2.5. even the arm rest are nice and soft.

and my boyfriends actually a girl who's smoking hot and out of my league but I do what I do. she works at greece ridge. bet you can find her if ya look hard enough.

this convo will end here because besides your car being faster, its all personal opinion and I got out of work early and Im not wasting it on a forum I frequent twice a month if that.

I'd have to go all the way and get the Equus with the 5L if I was to get ANY Hyundai but they dont make a LWB edition. Either way, for that kind of $$, I'd just go ahead and put the QP GTS in the driveway.

Hyundai did put some serious work into the Genesis though. It's a nice ride. I don't know about that stanced bit (not my thing anyway) but it looks good enough stock.

@B15 FWIW the 2012+ refreshed Genny V6's put out 333hp, and run 29mpg on regular fuel. Don't get me wrong - I'm a V8 man, but If I had to go V6 I would gladly settle for the refresh.

I don't think I've ever seen a Equus on the road? Has anyone else? There's always the Genesis 5.0 R-Spec too...good looking car, not sure about performance though. Isn't KIA coming out with a Genesis equivalent?

Rofl, lmfao omg...THAT is perhaps the funniest stuff I have read EVER! EPIC fail is approaching this seemingly mild thread all of a sudden. Mucho gracias to the funnies, but hey, you girlies quit it.

Agreed. Not bad.

I've seen a couple here and there. LOL! They're so damned generic-looking you probably drove right past one and didn't notice.

I've seen a few 5L R-Specs too, but the performance doesn't live up to the fancy name IMO.

Kia is getting the K9. Same car, but exclusively with the V6 IIRC. I don't like that thing though. They ripped the portholes off the QP and it's got a maxipad glued to it's face where the grille goes.

LOL I never noticed that, but I just googled it and you're right. Also the new Kia is called the Quoris.

....." Faster than a Porsche Panamera S from 0-60" lol, has the huge V8 with 429hp. Trust me, its SERIOUS! I'd hit it! And for the record, the coupe and the sedan are different cars altogether...The only thing they is the name "Genisis" They were dumb to name them both this as they are in fact 2 very different vehicles.

Having to figure out which Genesis they're talking about is much better than that stupid Quoris crap they slapped on the K9. Totally forgot about that name. Even after I commented on the story on Car and Driver.

Lawrence, I like the Genesis and everything, but it beating a Panamera S is like the jock picking on the retarded kid. Hell, your Armada is probably faster than the damned Panamera S from 0-60. I want to see it take on the IS-F. Same displacement, similar curb weights, and around the same horsepower (Genesis has more) and don't they both have 8-speed automatics now?

The 2012 Genesis does have an 8 speed in it now...for now. They have had MAJOR issues with those things from the factory. Not enough R&D IMHO.

The K9 is one big FAIL of a car. It looks odd and only has the V6 pppffffttttt.

But if I could have afforded a new Genesis, I would have gotten the V6 because it is def. pushing more hp and better MPG's

Eh, I say you did fine with what you got. I want to see a damned Genesis sedan modded for power.
