The otter boxes are warranted in the event that you manage to break one, and I think they also offer a guarantee that they will protect your phone, but I may be talking out my ass on that.
I had a buddy who was prone to showing off how durable his otter box was so he would tell people about it and then drop his phone. I told him that he could still mess up his phone. He was all "Nawww, it can't break in that case." Speaker stopped working and he couldn't hear people talking any more. Dropped it so many times the internals shook loose. Dumbass should have listened to me.
Looking into a real bamboo case ATM, looks pretty cool and it wraps the whole phone. I don't want a skin or ones like the Elago because it doesn't wrap the entire phone. Might get either the bamboo or a draco aluminum shell.
BTW the swiftkey keyboard will hide, you just has to swipe it down !
JELLY BEAN BECAME AVAILABLE 12/3/12. It is ONLY available through SAMSUNG KEIS WIRED CONNECTION
How to install:
1) Restart computer
2) Install Samsung Keis
3) Make sure USB Debugging Mode is enabled on your device (settings > developer options > USB Debugging > (x))
4) Connect the device to the computer via USB NOT as a camera
5) Wait for the device drivers to load
That should be it. If it connects right, there should be a pop-up that tells you the device is not up to date and prompts you to update. Do it.
If the phone does not connect, turn off USB Debugging and try again.
Hope this helps everyone.
P.S. There will NOT be and OTA update for the I747 Galaxy S3 on AT&T you can ONLY get it from Keis WIRED connection. Fcuk AT&T
Finally got a Galaxy S3 Apparently Verizon now has black and brown as color choices on top of the traditional white and pebble blue. I decided on black and will be rooting it asap.
I was going to go with white because the black had to be special ordered (I didn't want to wait). But the sales guy jokingly talked me out of it because he said the white GS3 was mostly for chicks LoL
