Tire Rack

I am shopping for winter wheels and tires for my van. Why is it that Tire rack will not show you shipping costs until after you enter all of you information? They say it is pending.

This is why I am ordering from Discount tire direct.....Get with it TR!

They will if you click calculate shipping on the product page!

But yea, usually, I have to key in my info too

maybe they're tired of being passed up for lower prices so they keep their shipping costs secret until you provide your credit card info

Yeah..that's not happening. If I am shopping and can not see the final price before I even put my name in...I am gone.

I like americas tire/discount tire's website. They show the OTD price after taxes too. But the Americas Tire DEPOT has slightly better prices for some items.

Just checked it out...they charge Tax...that kills their deals. Discount tire does not.

i use tire rack as a source of information and research. i use all their customer reviews and extensive tire info to choose a tire then i go down to discount tire down the road and get that tire there.

their simulator that shows how any of the wheels they sell look on your car is pretty cool too

and usually if the price is cheaper on TR u can go to DT and tell them and they will lower the prices to try n match. did that on my last set.

Last time I went to DT, I told them I didn't need the tire recycling fee because Mnaltima's pa works for the city and can dispose of the tires for me. So I didn't get charged the extra $12.

And then when I got home, I realized they forgot to put the tires in my car.

just make sure u take pics of the wheel with the manager there before hand. ive had my wheels scuffed/scratched/dropped at Discount so many times, and they always deny and i didnt have proof.

discount tire price matches tire rack btw and tire rack is always cheaper per tire then discount tire. so just print out quote from tire rack without shipping and bring it in to discount tire.

I hated that too when I was shopping for tires. I wish they all had a OTD price so it was easy to compare side-by-side.

Every time I shopped them they were always higher...Quite a bit..especially when you add in their shipping
