Funny how the media and the public grabs hold of control, Yes there should be yada,yada ,yada we have laws in the books and so forth. But the one thing that slips through Mental disorders, most of the shooters have them, being treated for them, off meds or unable to get help what have you. At the rate they are closing down psych hospital and turning people with disorders onto the streets without follow ups etc, it can get alot worse.

on that same token, do you think maybe..just maybe, some of those meds (just in general with mental issues) may actually cause more harm than good? I'm no expert, i just wonder if sometimes the medications we force down the throat of people may actually be causing some of these psychosis issues, and not preventing them.

In very small cases maybe the medicine could be to blame. But then again so many take their meds with alcohol and drugs as well. And those who don't take their meds are true time bombs. No lie there, it's truly a scary thing seeing someone off their medication. And running wild. I'm amazed there aren't more people getting hurt.
How about ban all assault type fire arms, restrict the clip amount. Any and all legally purchased fire arms will double in price with half going to fund victims of gun violence. This is from a Canadian who thinks its ok for only police and military personal to carry fire arms. God help the innocent and their parents cope. There is no answer...

lets say we do that, how is that any different from ppl acquiring illegal drugs that are smuggled in from other countries? u do this to firearms and criminals will surely find a way to acquire them. now heres the problem when that happens. only criminals and cops will have firearms. so when they attack a family's home, how does one defend without a firearm? a baseball bat? because we all know a average response time for a 911 call is 10-15mins...this isnt gonna solve anything. i want to be able to defend my family in a situation like this without having to hide and hope we dont get killed
Not asking to ban all together. Why does one need drums that hold 100 rounds plus, in case the next town attacks your family?. Apparently drums of ammunition can be ordered online. There's always going to be "what ifs".
As a Virginia Tech student, this story really tugs on the heart strings. I haven't really been able to watch any of the videos or read much about it other than just the headlines. Its nauseating, saddening, and angering all at the same time.

I don't think I could carry a gun without the constant thought of am I gonna have to kill and idiot, or I hope I don't shoot my leg or ass. But I also sure would hate to need it and don't have it. You just got to take all the classes and get comfortable with your weapon. And practice common sense .
