H&R's/Tok's for daily driving, keeping the D2's on for weekend auto-x (WHICH STARTS NEXT WEEKEND HURRAY!). So that means I'll have no need for the stock suspension anymore.
how are you going to handle your alignment specs if your swapping all the time? I say screw the clients if they wanna ride in your car they can enjoy the ride. D2's aren't that bad. just run stock tires during the week
alignment specs?! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA that's a good one. Last time I went to an alignment shop, they told me the car was too low to fit up his ramp, that he needs at least 4" of clearance.
Antioni i need couple of ac parts excluding the Ac condensor and excluding the bracket for now. Are you taking your ac out totally or just had a spare????
all I have is the actual radiator-looking condenser that sits in front of the radiator. No brackets or anything else, sorry. I was supposed to sell it plus some other parts to a guy on here when I had my parts car but he never bought and I found them so if anyone wants them throw me a number.
the alignment shop i go to never complained about it being too low...and you know how low my car is...
i got new ball joints, that should be put on near the end of the week...im hoping to swap the new d2 struts in as well, get the pillowballs all cleaned up and greased, as well as adjusting the preload on the springs...hawk hps pads should be goin on too...then once the weather is a lil more consistent the rims will go on, and then an alignment...
lol since my FOR SALE thread here obviously isn't going to be used to sell anything...
Z, I played around with the D2's this weekend. I actually took them off the ES Coil Isolators. Lots more noise. BUT! the noise is completely different from the clunking noise I had before. It's coming from the springs obviously, because there are no isolators, but I can distinctly hear that the noise is higher up too because I'm still getting the noise I had before. The original noise is still there but it sounds like it's coming from below, lower than the springs. I'm still counting on it being ball joints (at least in my case). We'll see.
lol well apparently no one wants to buy anything, so why not?
SOMETHING ELSE: Anyone that wants my old 130K miles AUTO Transmission, make an offer. Good for those of you that want to have one rebuilt into a racing auto. you pay shipping plus like $20 or $30 and it's yours.
PS LilZ,
when I get around to some more money, I plan on buying new springs. Swift Springs that is. Maybe that will alleviate some noise eh? Warm weather helps to btw.
yesterday and the last few days were a little warmer, so i wasnt getting as much noise from the front, but the rear got noisier more of a ding every now and then depending on the bump...
its pretty cold outside today, and the rear is not that bad, but the front is all noisy again...seems as tho something rattles on driver and passenger side front when going over a bump, and if the bump is a hard one, seems as tho the noise shoots up and sounds like it is coming from the strut tower/pillowball area...im thinking the rattleing like noise is the ball joints, because even after the bump you can hear it rattling so to speak...
