I just bought a brand new VIS carbon fiber hood (well insurance did). I have 1 VIS hood that has some damage put can be repaired or used as a winter hood or even a project hood. The second hood is a no name brand company can use some work as well. I'm sellin as a package deal both for $150. I am currently rocking the VIS hood and I rocked the no name brand all summer long. I am looking for a local deal. I can have pictures up in a few days. Switched hoods because the insurance company wanted to see the VIS hood. If 2 people show interest than $75 a piece is good. I am interested in some things if you want to trade. Carbon Fiber Diffuser from Autokits-X or GTR button. For the diffuser I will add money.
If you are expecting mint looking hoods these are not. They are great project hoods or even winter hoods. Both have flaws in different ways.
PM me if interested.
In my signature is the no name brand hood taken 3 or 4 weeks ago.
You didn't get into an accident recently did you?
I want one lol! How do I transport it is what I have to figure out :/ I wish you lived closer.
Not sure about his hood size but the 02-04 hood will fit inside the car with a passenger, lol. I made it from Brooklyn, NY to south Jersey with a V.I.S. Carbon Fiber hood resting between my headrest and on the back seat. It was a tight fit but it made it home safely.

I believe you but I am trying to imagine it in my head. How did you even maneuver it into a position like that? I wonder if the 4th gen is a lot bigger or something.
The VIS hood blew up into my windshield. My fault rushing around when working on my retroheadlights a year ago. I didn't push the hood all the way down and boom. Wrecked my fenders and cracked the under skeleton of the CF hood. Missing one bolt. Also has spider crack swirls.
The no name brand hood has a scratch in the center which can be sanded and cleared but they shipped it wrong and the corners got chipped on far side to the windshield. Also one side that bolts down has a little extra glass resin or something that needs to be filed down to make fit properly.
Both hoods are fun project hoods and for the price its totally worth it even to rock it as is. I suggest using hood pins. I don't because I dislike them. On my new hood I will be using aerolatch in Carbon fiber. It will match the hood.
I believe you can drive with no hood. I have done it around town. There is no law saying you can't. I see people who had accidents and drive with no front bumper or lights and hoods roped down.

Its been a couple years since I did it but I actually think a part of it was hanging out of a window. I had to push my seat up a bit which made the ride uncomfortable since I'm a big guy. The guy who I bought it from was laughing at me because he came in a van and he asked me where I was going to put it.
