1988 Nissan Sentra--needs longer legs
I just got an 88 Sentra (2dr) to drive instead of my 77 Ford F100. (Still have the truck, just don't want to drive it at $3/gal and 13mpg)
The Sentra is a tight little car. A few little interior issues and a few dings/rust spots here and there. Runs great. Does NOT run fast enough to get on a NC highway. 65 is about all you can ask of it even in 5th gear. The gearing is almost too close. Can anyone tell me if there is a way to jack up the gearing in the tranny? are there other trannies that will work?
Also, what other go-fast parts can I bolt on under the hood? It's basically stock. I don't want to sink a lot of money into a 20-yr-old car but it is a fun car to drive and I'd like to make it a little more responsive.
I've always had Toyotas. This is my first Nissan. How 'bout a little help from the guys who know 'em?

Are there no tuners in this forum?? Are you all just aftermarket body kit boys? Clear taillight lenses won't help me. Under body lights won't help me. I need some help from somebody who knows TUNING. C'mon guys. Forward this to someone you know if you haven't got an answer.

HELLO!! IS THIS THING ON?? CAN YA HEAR ME?? Over 60 views and nearly a month has passed and NOBODY has any idea what to do?
