I still hold to my claim: there is no way that car does the 1/4 mile in 10seconds. No way. There are Skylines out there with almost 1000HP that can barely do 10's. It's just a hard car to make a drag car because it's heavy and it's not aerodynamic. 11's, probably; 10's, no way. Not with only 500HP. Not even with 500WHP. Skylines are just like that.

And even IF it did get the 1/4 in 10's, the Koenigsegg CCR hold the titles for fastest production car in both the standing 1/4mile with 9-seconds and the top speed with 242.3mph.

If you read the article it ran 400meters in 10.06 sec. 400meters is alittle less then 1/4 mile. And Nismo advertised 500hp/400lb is a conservative number they believe

I know what it says, it says what Nissan said it says, I just don't believe it. And even if 500HP is a conservative estimate they wouldn't say 500HP if it were actually 600+, they'd say "600HP, conservatively estimated."

man....I aint sayin nuthin...I guess you have never acctually ran a Skyline down a 1/4 have you? I pulled a 11.2 out of a lightly moded R-32 GTR V-Spec 2 at commerce. 11.2@ 118

and that Z tuned is not "Godzilla" you all forget or have not ever heard of the 1995 R-33 Nismo400R with the HUGELY praised RBX-GT2 pushing a wopping 398 hp at the wheels! it is a car not to be reckoned with, My friends at RbMotoring had one, they sold it...lol...but they are very rare, 99 produced...that is the "Godzilla" and the Nur Spec Skylines. the R-34 is a fat pig, the R-32 GTR Vspec 2(1994) rulz all in production class's and acctually beats ALL other models on the road courses, look it up, the R-32 made the Skyline what we know of it today

No Nismo200R, I've never ran a GTR ever. Never even got a chance to see one up close. Having said that, I don't have to eat shit to know it doesn't taste good, I can know that by other people's examples. So that means I'm not going to believe the shit Nissan's trying to feed about the 10-sec quarter. I've wanted a Skyline for a long time, studied them, read a lot about them, even if I haven't had the chance to work on them yet, about what I would need to do to my future GTR to get it at X-goal. And through all that, I know it takes more than 500HP to get an R34 to 10's. Maybe I'm wrong, if I am, whatever, but you said it yourself, the R34 is no R32.

Very true I did say that and it is very true, a R-34 just cannot be compared to the R-32, but nontheless they are all still very nice cars in person, I absolutly love the R-34's interior though, with the factory monitor with displayed gauges..its pimp...but performance wise the R-32 has the R-34 hands down, the 32 is SOO much more responsive to quick movements and braking and the R-34 is kinda sluggish too the steering and isnt as responsive but it is a quick bastard. (and yes I know I cant spell for shiat)
