I have a 03 automatic that is about to get a new engine, so I'm pretty proud of these, especially considering the track was 110 degrees when we started at 7 and cooled down to a shivering 85 degrees by 10:30
1. 02 Ford Cobra w/ exhaust
Me....14.974 @91.09......him....16.336 @ 95.55 (I know he couldn't drive...but I still beat a cobra)
2. Stock SRT-4 (video to come sunday)
Me....15.078 @ 91....Him....15.247 @ 93
3. 02 Maxima (Intake/exhaust)
(video to come sunday)
We ran twice and I killed him both times
(beat him by 1.8 and 1.6 seconds)
5. Ford Lightning we ran twice (give me your opinion on this)
(video to come sunday)
Me
R/T------ -.014 (redlight...whops), .059
60'------2.225, 2.280
1/8------9.631, 9.709
MPH----74.76, 74.63
1/4-----14.879, 14.957
MPH----92.63, 92.55
Him
R/T-----.464, .664
60'-----2.285, 2.237
1/8----9.489, 9.418
MPH--- 77.35, 77.32
1/4----14.644, 14.569
MPH----95.17, 95.37
I know his E/T and MPH were faster BUT since I had the better reaction time each time, I was the first one to the finish line. I was in the left lane both times and on both slips it says left first...first race by.2432, and the second race by .2177
Times ranged between,
R/T .002-.419
60' 2.225-2.306(w/ 2 friends in the car)
1/4 14.811-15.481 (w/ 2 friends in the car)
MPH 93.00-89.39 (w/ 2 friends in the car)
I have all the slips and I'm gonna post them on sunday when I get home. The Altima represented well tonight.
elevation makes a big diff... i ran 15.4 in fontana at night time where the elevation is 1500, and 15.2 in the afternoon at carlsbad where the elevation is about 500 or so. although it was hotter at carlsbad by about 20 degrees, the elevation still got me a lower time

They let you run down the track with passengers in your car? They have stopped that a long time ago here in Hawaii because of the insurance liabilities.

Yeah they do...I thought this track (atlanta dragway) was supposed to be really quality, but from what a bunch of guys said last night, they don't even prep it for test and tune, they just blow it off.
uhm why are you getting a new engine? heat+higher elevation=owns your track times. Imagine being at sea level during 40 degree weather... I beat your 1/4 mile times would drop one second.

13.8 in an auto...maybe not a whole second, but it would definitly improve it. I'm gettin a new engine because its burning oil (1 qt every 1000 miles...there's a whole thread about it in engine performance). Last night did make me question it, but I would hope getting a new engine could only help me.
Yeah, one of them had never been down the track, and the other one just jumped in when I asked if he wanted to ride. I had already gotten my personal best that night and I was racing a 90 somethin chevy ss, so I thought it would be fun.
