DIE DIE vs. TheGhost!!! it happened

Well guys I met up with TheGhost (carlos) today and have nothing but great things to say about him He was a really cool guy! Awesome to see a middle aged man racing with teenagers too

First off I want to give him mad props... his SE-R was a hell of alot quicker than I expected... I have popcharger, and he had just a removed airbox piece

My only disadvantage was that I had an extra 200+ lb passenger with me....

We raced 6 times and he did beat me 2 of the 6 times... Like everyone already new the Z is a "little" quicker, and will win everytime if you don't ****up. I really never thought he would be be so close tho!!!! Granted I had a passenger which would probably = 1.5 carlength in a race, but I could not shake this guy from a 1st gear roll by much....

1st race from a stop... I spun forever, then shifted in to 2nd and even 3rd while my car had hardly moved Yeah I suck. By the time I finally caught I bogged bad in 3rd.. Hard to explain... He killed me this race by 3 cars

2nd race was from a stop and I won by about 2.5-3 cars we both agreed our launches were pretty iffy.

3rd run we went from a 1st gear roll and well.... sorry Z brothers I ****ed up again missed 2nd, and he pulled ahead by a little bit (about 1/2 car) By 90 I was like at his door and about to pull ahead but a turn came up and we broke while he was still ahead by a tad..

4th, 5th, and 6th runs I won, and were all about the same... We went 2 times from a stop and I won by about 3 cars, and 1 time from a 1st gear roll and I won by like 1.5-2 cars...

CLIFF NOTES- Z=4 wins, SE-R=2 wins

SE-R is quicker than many (including myself) thought... But if the Z driver doesn't **** up it will win. Would have liked to put the passenger in the SE-R and see the results, but some dude walking his dog was trippin and we had to bone out...

Thanks for the Good times Carlos, I'm sure we'll see eachother again at a meet or something!!

BTW- My passenger taped with carlos's camera and hopefully carlos will get the vid up... You get to see me **** up twice in it <<

oh yeah and I'll admit that I underestimated the SE-R I didn't gut my trunk (spare & jack) like I usually do, and said "It's cool" that I had the extra passenger I honestly thought that I'd murder him no matter what.. which wasn't the case... As you see... Theres not much room for air when cars have virtually the same motor

Remember the Official race was ONLY 3 RAces and I won the 1st and 3rd.
so in all fairness I could have just said thanks, taken your money and posted all kinds of crap about how i beat you.

Just a note... A win is a win! doesnt matter if you win by a nose or 10 cars. It also doesnt matter if you ****ed up or not!

But I didnt do that ... i did give you a chance with a few more races PLUS i Didnt take your money!

But I will not make any excuses, he did beat me the other 2 races.

As for his pasenger I did ask him if he wanted to take him out of the car
he said NO.

All I expect from you at this piont is to ackowledge that what im saying is TRUE!

Also I do have the video and that will be posted as soon as possiable!

My SE-R is an auto and has no added parts to increase its performance.

The 350 z is STICK shift and has a pop charger.

All in ALL I think the SE-R has proved that it WILL beat a stock 350z and EVEN give slightly modded 350z's a run for its money!

Carlos.. I agree with just about everything you said except... the fact that you will beat a stock Z.. The only way you'll beat a stock Z is if the driver messes up like I did in 2 races of the 6. I thought it was pretty obvious that if I didn't "**** up" I would have won EVERY race..? Do you disagree on this??

At the end You even said "You'll beat me everytime from a stop" Did you not?? From a roll yes it was pretty damn close, but don't forget about the passenger.. He is easily 1.5 cars. <<(As proven in my Evo vid..how much difference the passenger makes)

I can guarentee you that the A stock Z with no passenger will be faster than my Z with a popcharger and a 210 lb. passenger... I can also tell you that I'm willing to bet your airbox trick gives = or more gains than a popcharger

That gear I missed was only the 2nd gear I've missed since I've owned the car, but it still makes me sad

I'm not quite sure what you are looking for... I agree that if the Z messes up the SE-R being auto will obviously win since there is less margin for error... but if the Z doesn't mess up... It will win every time... do you agree with this??

Yeah bro,, I didn't mean to take away from the fact that your car is quick...( It's just that an auto like yours is pretty consistent and theres not much that can go wrong.. missing a gear in a 6MT is a pretty big deal (as you saw... it made about a 3 car difference ) I'm honestly just trying to get the point across that a Z is still faster than the SE-R (by a little) without taking away from your car.. see what I mean? It's kinda hard!!

It took me a minute to realize that I had bogged the shit outta my car in 3rd because I was in 3rd gear going like 30mph still spining I think I said somthing like "**** what happened" also when I miss 2nd gear that one race I was like "****", and then said something else

I just have to say What a great thing to see bros get along, and a great report from both of you,
My feelings:
1/ if Die Die had no rider he would have creamed Ghost.
2/ If both cars were auto and no passengers , this would have been a a real close match and possibly Ghost on top
All I can say is Thanks for the honest reports, and how can we all argue "We are all in the same Family"
